I did that, too. I can't even drink regular soda now. It tastes thick and syrupy to me, not refreshing at all. Diet soda tastes thin and refreshing, especially on a hot day or when I'm really thirsty.
I usually give up chocolate, which totally sucks because my birthday falls during Lent so I never get to have chocolate cake. I eat carrot cake instead. So far I'm going with chocolate but I may change it. I'll decide later today.

I for one am enjoying the great deal I got on boneless flank last week at HEB.
On monday we went to this little mexican restaurant called Teresitas close to were I work. They had some real good mexican food. Well, there was a sign that said lent food on Friday. We usually head out to Barnacle Bills on friday for their fish sandwich and fries. Well, since my friend was craving lent food we decided to go back to the little mexican restaurant today so she can have nopalitos (cactus)... At first I thought I was going to see something nasty on her plate, but that stuff was good.why are you eating fish and fries if you don;t believe in lent??

I'm trying to give up cursing for Lent. It's been hard going and I've already broken it once or twice, but that represents a vast improvement. I've cussed twice in three days, versus my average of probably about 20-30 times a day.
