Seems like the Pistons peaked way early. They don't consistently dominate teams any more. Teams are going into stretch runs and Pistons may have been in their stretch run in November - January.

Pistons are not playing great right now, but it was a road game, and it's very difficult to win on the road in the NBA.


Just for reference, as well as the Spurs are playing right now, as they are going into their "stretch run" over the last two weeks, their last couple of road games include:

83-80 win at Memphis
100-103 loss at Philadelphia
87-101 loss at Cleveland
92-88 win at Indiana

If this is the Spurs' stretch run, then they aren't exactly dominating teams either. NBA road games. Who's on their stretch run? Dallas is the only team that has been on a tear lately, really beating up on teams by double digits. Miami is beating non-playoff teams.

Quick to judge over one loss to Denver and a close Seattle game? Maybe ...

Pistons win...9 of the last 11 is mediocre?

Ok, mediocre is a bit of a stretch, but I still feel, regardless of their record, they're not playing quite as well as they were earlier. Unfortunately (for us, at least ) they're still winning games, and there's still plenty of time for them to get it going again.
