    Dude,

Your team was in owned last night, even after being spotted a 14 point lead in the first.

You continue with your asterisk . Dude, go the away and come back when we play Dallas again.

Better yet, come back when the Mavs win a in playoff series. I seriously doubt they get past the first round.

    Dallas is ove .

    Same ol ..

    Go away.
You have some serious serious doubt about the Mavs.

Hmm I think pushing off is legit (MJ did it a lot), then again MJ was treated differently than other players. Once you get a player in the air though, he/she is at your mercy.

    Also: Bowen isn't a guard!

He may overstate things but that asterisk comment was bush league. A win is a win is a win. No goddamn excuses.

All that's left to see is Sequ and T Park simultaneously praising Rasho and Beno, and the big happy family will be complete!

what is the purpose of going to an opposing team's message board?
To find posters who are not on the same forum you post at

What are the benefits of doing so?
well if you want to talk smack to a spurs fan ? your not going to find that many at MavTalk so you might want to visit a spurs forum to make sure you find a spurs fan to talk to

I guess it's not technically "trolling" if you are respectful,
you need to visit the troll forum at this site to understand what a troll, and trolling really means

but what is the point of starting a flame war?
    ask the topic starter,
after all , Mavsfan1000 didn't make this topic.and if you all don't know by now how to use the Ignore feature this site has to offer? then your always going to have to read what MavsFan1000 posts.

the truth is? there is nothing more entertaining on the www than a piss off Spurs fan having a meltdown

Nothing more funny than an ass-hurt mavs fan trying to talk himself into feeling better about his suck ass team.

Mavs fans talk when they are winning. Mavs fans talk when they got beat by 9 after blowing a 12 point lead.

    I'm sensing a trend...

I'm sure if this site has rules about Mav fans posting ? then the moderators would have taken action by now, the truth is, there are only two things that can happen,

A: you guys get a new forum for Spurs fans only and have it were you need a password to get in

    OR?

B: hope the Mavs don't make it out of the first round

Mavsfan1000 has every right to post views here as long he/she isn't incessantly trolling. Opposing views make for active forums, as do the occasional really idiotic posts that are marked for ownage.

v2freak, I agree that pushing off can be legitmate in cases where players are coming off screens or out of double stacks and defenders are grabbing and holding. Offensive players should have the leeway to free themselves from that.

Pushing a defender down and out of the way when the defender is just trying to move his/her feet and stay in front really should be called an offensive foul. This is especially true at the interscholastic level. Once it gets into the entertainment world of the NBA, the refs are going to be more lenient for players like retirees MJ and Reggie Miller, or players like AI today.

On your point regarding Bowen not being a guard...while it's true that Bruce is listed at 6'7" and starts as the Spurs' SF, he defends Guards all the time, plus in a lot of the Spurs' offensive plays the 2 and the 3 are interchangeable - as are the 4 and the 5 positions. He's truly a wing or swingman.

People like to flame I guess. I come to talk with other fans of other teams. I get sick of mavs boards so I go to other boards and what other board is more interesting to go to other than the mavs biggest rival.
Am I the only one here who has never thougth of Dallas as a "rival"??

I agree that opposing viewpoints make for an active forum, but there are enough opposing viewpoints within the Spurs fans group. I fail to see why someone who professes to be a fan of another team would want to post here. I believe it is purely to set off a thread war an has no other purpose. My own opinion only....if you have a favorite team other than the Spurs, then please go away.

    Mavs suck? Mavs suck-ass team?

    Riiiight.

San Antonio beat us. That's it. I don't know how that = Mavs being a team. Our record is still 46-12 (.5 game up on your nice record at the current moment actually). Yea, we have some things to work on...yea, we haven't won anything special in the playoffs....but WTF we're a top three team this year. Just because you beat us in this one (you act like we haven't been able to beat you at all this year) does not mean we suck.

Well, seeing as how San Antonio had to play a tough, full 48 minutes to get that win against Dallas, as well as the 92-90 win earlier, I'd say pking has a valid point.

It doesn't prove the Mavs can beat the Spurs in a 7 game playoff series, so there is work to be done for Dallas. At least it's no longer _allas....maybe dallas instead of Dallas, though.

Oh trust me, I'm not here to proclaim that the Mavs are the best team in the league and can beat anybody in the playoffs and all that...I'm not here to talk down about the Spurs; I have a huge respect for them. I just don't see why people act like we're a horrible team because of that loss lol Kinda funny, everybody wants to talk about how regular season games don't matter, but the second we lose one...we suck, dirk sucks, we have no chance, etc...

Mavericks have improved in several areas and as a big fan I do think they have a shot at winning big games in the playoffs, but I'm not going to be one that comes to talk and say we will definently win.

I think the reason there are so many people saying that the mavs suck is only to piss off a lot of the mavs fan that came onto the forum before the game talking about the spurs. Most people on this forum are educated basketball fans and realize that the Mavs are a very good team. However when someone comes to your turf and talks trash you are going to give them just as hard a time back when your team wins.
