If he gets that jumper falling consistantly, he could be All NBA one of these years.
I think it was Sean that made the point a few nights back, that now in practice they are working on Tony's 3 point shot. As he put it. If he gets that down, he will become totally unstoppable and unguardable.

I certainly think the Spurs were indeed lucky to pick Tony up as late as they did.

He's turned out to be more than they could ever have hoped for.

Well, they hoped for $66 Million worth.

And it appears they may have just gotten it.

However, factoring his initial rookie deal (3 years at <= 1M ?) you are getting 9 years for about $70 million. That is less than 8 million a year.

Quite a bargain for a young, experienced All-Star Point Guard.

The Spurs' record with Tony Parker in the lineup is 273-100 (.732). The only players since the 1970 season to play at least 300 games and have a higher winning percentage were Magic Johnson (.740) and Larry Bird (.736).

Anybody still feel snubbed that JKidd didn't sign with the Spurs.

We actually dodged a bullet IMO

That's impressive. But even more impressive is I'm guessing those were Magic and Bird's numbers for their entire career.

Tony Parker is the next Iverson without the ty at ude and poor shot selection.
He'll end up better than Iverson. He has plenty more years to prove that

Iverson is/has/will always be a fukkin stud.

I seriously doubt Parker gets on that level.

    I dunno.

If Parker was as selfish as Iverson, and had been brought up in a great basketball college like Georgetown, I don't doubt hed be as good.

You're right, Sequ. I don't ever see Tony on the level of 40% FGs for a season.
