That makes more sense, then. I didn't know that part of it, so I thought she had assumed the position...which is why I thought tacky.

I knew you guys wouldn't disappoint.
I am curious as to why they haven't shown a picture yet of a shot from the "money" end.
Shoogar,
I thought you were the innocent type![]()
What is more beautiful and innocent than childbirth?
If Britney had no knowledge or approval of this, then I truly feel bad for her in this case.
Not only is this "artist" seemingly picking on her, he's not even good enough to make it look like her.
It is stupid, there is nothing to say about it
Wrongo. I'm sure you can give us some insight as to the workout regimen for her triceps and delts. How many preggos have muscle definition like that?
Art is representational. It doesn't need to look like her. It's not a replica. The article says his works are considered to be both serious and yet preposterous/comical at the same time. It represents what he sees in a larger than life sort of way, not necessarily what we see. I wouldn't buy it, but I respect his right to create it.
Britney is ugly but not THAT ugly. damn the "artist" sucks
I can respect that argument in general, but I don't buy it for this particular peice.
I would have more respect for the artist (although still think the sculpture is crap) if he didn't say it was Britney Spears. I don't see the creative necessity of giving it her name. Either he's a) just looking for cheap publicity or b) made a terrible likeness.
I guess he's got a right to create it in the same way others have a right to make terrible bobblehead dolls or horrible "custom McFarlane" figurines. (Granted, those are supposed to be representational and so can easily be criticized when they look nothing like their subjects.)
Her legs aren't chubby enough.
Work has begun on blow-up versions of the sculpture to be sold at adult retailers.
