I have family in NC that says his Senatorial career is over in that state, and God willing he won't be VP come November.
His political career is over, unless he wants to be Hillary's chauffuer in '08.
Joe, I'm afraid he "Quayled" (as unfair as that moniker is to former Vice President Dan Quayle) himself last night.
If he ever gets a chance he'll have to get re-elected to the Senate for about 4 decades and, quite frankly, the "Senator Gone" comment doesn't bode well for him remaining in public service long enough to reach the maturity necessary to outlive the memory of his dismal performance during this campaign.![]()

His political career is far from over.
That depends on the meaning of "far" in this context. If by saying "far from over" you mean November 2, 2004 is still far away, I agree. If by saying "far from over" you mean he still has an unexpired Senate term to exhaust before the North Carolinans throw his ass out on the street, you're right again.
However, if by "far from over" you mean that you see any future for this scheister, in national politics, beyond what only an impeachment could bring to an earlier conclusion, you're delusional.
I'm not delusional but it appears you live in your own fantasy world.
Have you seen Alice?
Well, only time will tell...
