Yea, I don't get it either. It's not like he had the ball in his hands at the point right? Also....I thought Nash had traveled on that play, before the jumpball was called.
Also, I didn't hear Nash or anyone else complaing that the ref didn't call the push-off on Sasha to get free to get the ball in the first place.
It all balances out in the end.
EDIT - I forgot to add, I'm not sure of the rules but Walton being out of bounds likely doesn't change anything when it comes to a jump ball.

From a poster on LG
For some reason this has become controversial.
- Did Luke or Lamar foul Steve?
- Did Luke step out of bounds?
- Was there a timeout called?
Image 1: Nash in the trap, stopped his dribble, official looking at the action closely. No timeout.

Image 2: Does Luke step out of bounds? For a split second, yes. While touching the ball? No.

Image 3: Does Diaw call timeout? No. I'm not even sure if he can. Is Nash tied up then? Yes.

The media needs to stop making excuses for Nash and the Suns. They've been outplayed this entire series. If you watch the replay (I saw it on youtube lastnight) he doesn't have the tie up untill after he steps back in bounds. It's pretty clear, in controvertible.

In that pic, it looks like Diaw's constipation attack is kicking in. Wtf is Odom doing?
Nash is a freakin dumbass, he dribbled toward the side of the court where he could get tied up which happened.
He did call a timeout but he didn't have sole possesion of the basketball, other hands were on it and Luke tied it up.
End of story.
Lakers win.
Nash is a choker. It has been proven many times before with the Mavs and now the suns. Glad I don't have to be reminded of it any more.![]()
What about round 2 last year![]()
