We're getting about 20 minutes solid of bigger than marble smaller than golfball sized hail. I'm taking pictures with my camera phone, its ing crazy right now.

It already had a little hail damage .... but as we were coming home the chunks got bigger and bigger. It was so loud inside my car I was screaming at the top of my lungs and couldn't even hear myself. That was a trip. My ears are still ringing.
I was driving home and the layer of ice/hail on the streets was so thick you could feel the tires crunching it....

I don't even think I care...as long as my windshield, sunroof or windows don't get broken. It adds character.

We still got light hail, but it picks up and dies off in periods. I'm less than a mile north of downtown.
Holy I had to leave and turn off all the electronic devices because I heard a loud bang from the neighbor's house. Then we started to watch their house and saw smoke coming out of it. We called the firefighters and thankfully no one was home in that house but I feel bad for our neighbor.I think she's a single mom with two daughters if I'm not mistaken. She's going to come home with her house in ruins it seems.

The wind knocked down a tree a few house down. I think the storm is over for us.
And I think some insurances cover hail damage to cars. My car was damaged years back and I did receive money for repair.
The biggest hail was about twice as large as the one there.

At least no one was home though and everyone is safe I presume. I don't know if they're home yet.

Yeah dude, I just grabbed the stuff that bounced to my door. That was huge. It actually damagd part of our roof, cause now its leaking.

omg, I've never had to drive in hail before, and I hope to never have to do that again! That was terrible! I kept saying, please stop, please stop. All I kept thinking about was my poor car as I heard the hail hitting the windows and just waiting for the windshields to crack as I tried to find a place to hide.
The gas stations were packed with people trying to fit under the roofs. I finally found a spot and stayed there for a few minutes. My brother in law called me to warn me about it and said it was heading our way. I live by St. Mary's Univ. Where did this come from?? I watched the weather this morning and don't remember hearing a single thing about it! Why Steve?! Why did you forsake me!
It came from the New Braunfels/San Marcos area and just moved down I-35
I don't remember driving in it before, either. I still can't hear very well it was so loud. My kids were digging it, though.
Fortunately it has all but stopped here, and my car isn't that bad after all. From the way it sounded, I have no idea how either my sunroof or my windshield survived it.
