No one should know who an official is. I blame Bavetta. He started the trend. He's like the Chris Berman or "Real World" of refs. In sheer DVs (general annoyance factor is officially measured in units of Dick Vitale), Bavetta is an 11.
I know this Mark Wunderlick sucks ass.

Actually, back in the 70s and 80s, everyone knew Earl Strom, Mendy Rudolph, and Jake O'Donnell.
Difference was, they were good.
This guy runs the show.

Byron Scott gave me that face. That's ing technical. T him up. I run the show here.
Oops, I meant Bennett Salvatore. He is the worst and he is in Miami.
You all are starting to sound like Mark Cuban.
Bennet is in Miami.
Bavetta, Palmer, Nies, are still out there available to do tommarow night.
PRAY Javie's team does the game tommarow.
Dude, if Bavetta is here tomorrow, I am selling my tickets.
NO . So much whining about officials, and the game hasn't even been played yet.
love other posters trying to litigate others posts.
Fine T-Park. Let's just battle blog about officiating and solve sports problems.
My problem with Bavetta is that I hate it when the last minute of the game takes longer than the entire 1st quarter. (OK, but we all know it sure feels like it.) He drives me insane no matter who plays.
I feel the exact same way. IMO he calls ticky tack fouls all the time and has a reputation for inconsistancy. During the regular season he worked a lot w/ Violet Palmer and they just killed me to see the crap they'd call. I just can't get too worked over it too much. I'd be more worried about the spurs letting a call or two change a game without capitalizing on their own opportunities.
TPark, Palmer is done doing games this year.
If you really, really want to know, I can probably give you a pretty accurate list of the officials who are still working. There are no more than 29 of them.
Knowing who officials are is one thing; complaining about the calls those people make is another.
You sound like Mark Cuban.

Thank god.
How does Bavetta have such a high rating to stay in, longevity?
Bavetta is either the #1 or #2 (Joey Crawford) most experienced official in the NBA right now. He can seem to manipulate games sometimes, but he's great for ensuring drama, which keeps him employed late into the season. When Bavetta isn't trying to screw around with outcomes, he's actually pretty good.
I'm thinking he must have photos of Stern wearing a little Bavarian outfit while being whipped by the St. Pauli Girl.
Got pictures of stern jacking off to Lebron on Kobe porn more like it.
