Go Charles!!!
aww inexperience lost the game..... Hey I remember the Spurs won the Championship when Manu was a rookie and Tony was in his second year. Huh Stephen Jackson was also new! Huh but inexperience is a good excuse.
Phil Jackson completely flipped the script on the Lakers offense, and Phoenix couldn't adjust to it until the fifth game of the series. If Jackson was on the Suns bench LA would have gotten swept. Jackson was getting garbage like Kwame Brown and Luke Walton putting up numbers on easy shots. I don't think anyone saw a total team effort from the Lakers coming before this series started. Phoenix was a way better team and Jackson came one blown assignment from beating them.
phil jackson adjusted
suns with nash was 7-0
lakers won 3 games this series
all because phil adjusted
phil jackson even with the bulls hardly called timeouts
that is how he coaches
lakes won 3 games because he told kobe the only way to beat the suns is for the whole team to contribute and shot well
tonight was the only night that the whole team could not buy a shot except kobe
kobe shot bad in one game
I know alot of people wanted suns to lose because of nash getting the mvp
and was singing the praises of phil tell tonight bandwagoner fans suck
I agree Phil had to make due with the talent he had. Took it to seven games...made it close until Today.
The Lakers Scrubs just kind of buckled to the pressure. Kobe was the only one not affected. Lamar?
Suns were just taking it to them in the end. They adjusted their Defense against the inside presence of Kwame and Lamar..And Now Nash gets his praises back from some people.
wilt chamberlain had a 100 point game
Kobe's history of Clutch Shots over his career:
1. Game 4, 2006 first round vs. Phoenix
It wasn't one of the games that Bryant played in the 2000, 2001, 2002, or 2004 NBA Finals. It was just a first-round game. But it was an unbelievable performance. It showed the world that this was Kobe's team -- in Kobe's prime — and Kobe's league. Kobe tied the game with less than a second (0.7) remaining in regulation. He then made the game-winning shot as time expired in overtime. It was the type of game that everyone talked about the next day. And the type of game people will remember in 10 years. Most important, it put his underdog Lakers up 3-1 in the series.
2. Game 4, 2000 NBA Finals vs. Indiana
The Lakers were leading 2-1 in the series, but Bryant had suffered a sprained left ankle early in the second game. Prior to Game 4, Bryant's status was unclear. Although he started, he scored only six points in the first half. With 2:33 remaining in the game, Shaquille O'Neal fouled out with the Lakers leading 115-112. Bryant led his team to the overtime victory, scoring 22 points after halftime, and playing 47 minutes on a bad ankle to give his Lakers a 3-1 series lead in the NBA Finals.
3. Game 4, 2002 Western semifinals vs. San Antonio
Is this sounding familiar? Kobe Bryant gives his team a 3-1 series lead with a game-winning basket in the final seconds of Game 4. In this game, Kobe threw in a put-back over Tim Duncan and David Robinson to give the Lakers an 87-85 victory. Bryant scored 28 of the Lakers' 87 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter.
4. Game 4, 2004 Western semifinals vs. San Antonio.
The Spurs were the defending NBA champions, and the best defensive team in the league. The Lakers were a two-man gang — and those two weren't getting along. The Spurs led the series 2-1, and the Lakers were in danger of going back to San Antonio down 3-1. Bryant scored 42 points, and Shaq scored 28 more. The Lakers tied the series up with a 98-90 victory, setting the stage for Derek Fisher's heroics in Game 5.
5. Game 4, 2003 Western semifinals vs. San Antonio
Just call Kobe the "King of Game 4s." Bryant's Lakers were the three-time defending NBA champions, and had won 13 consecutive playoff series going into the second round of the 2003 series with San Antonio. The Spurs had a 2-1 series lead going into the fourth game. This would be the only time that Kobe had played a postseason game without head coach Phil Jackson, who missed the game after undergoing a heart procedure earlier in the day. The Lakers fell behind by 16 points in the second quarter, and were still behind by 10 midway through the third, until Bryant led a charge. Kobe scored 35 points and the Lakers tied up the series with a 99-95 victory. A Game 5 victory was within reach, but Robert Horry's last-second shot for the Lakers failed.
6. Game 7, 2002 Western finals vs. Sacramento
It doesn't get much harder than to win a seventh game on the road, in the hostile Arco Arena in Sacramento. Kobe Bryant scored 30 points and had 10 rebounds. The Lakers outlasted the Kings 112-106 in overtime.
7. Game 4, 2001 Western semifinals vs. Sacramento
OK, so the Lakers were up 3-0 in the series and didn't need Bryant's heroics as much as other times. Still, Bryant's game was nothing short of magnificent. He scored 48 points and had 16 rebounds. The Lakers, on the road in Sacramento, completed the sweep of the Kings with a 119-113 victory.
8. Game 2, 2004 NBA Finals vs. Detroit
The Lakers were down a game in the NBA Finals, and were trying to avoid heading to Michigan in a 2-0 hole. Detroit had a six-point lead with under a minute to play. Shaq converted a three-point play. Then Bryant hit a 3-pointer with 2.1 seconds remaining to send the game into overtime. The Lakers outscored the Pistons 10-2 in the extra period, and tied up the series. Kobe scored 33 points (of the Lakers' 99) and had seven assists in the game.
9. Game 4, 2002 NBA Finals vs. New Jersey
The Lakers were up 3-0, and trying to close out their third consecutive NBA championship. Although they had their way in the first three games, the Nets were only down by four points entering the fourth quarter. Kobe Bryant scored 11 points in the fourth quarter to ensure a Lakers sweep. Bryant's 25 points and eight assists were routine by this point.
10. Game 1, 2001 Western finals vs. San Antonio
Kobe, on the heels of consecutive sweeps of Portland and Sacramento, scored 45 points to lead the Lakers to a 104-90 victory on the road in San Antonio. It was a dominating performance by a dominating player.

That killed me I was so pissed off that night but I knew we would still come back and beat them.
Stop hating on Phil Jackson. He's a great coach. Look who he had to work with this year and still make the playoffs and what they only won 39 games last year with almost the same lineup but probably better last year.
These are not clutch shots, these are clutch performances. Clutch shot are defined as game winning shots or shots with under 24 seconds left. Of course Kobe is a clutch performer, but definitely not a clutch game winning shooter. The stats don't lie.................7-32 and 0 assists.
phil jackson is overrated, he only wins when theres 2 hofs on his team, but he couldnt win when he had 4 hofs on his team, pretty much overrated
Phil is, at best, the second-best basketball coach in LA.
He can control 2 egos...4 egos...I think anyone would have a hard time. He at leat used them to take us, the defending champs, OUT... didn't he? 4 finals appearances in 5 years. Quit drinking the haterade. Phil is great and that is a FACT. No matter what we say. His track record don't lie.
Only til' now he couldn't make it past the first round. 9 iing Rings. ANd 3 ING 3-PEATS. You know how hard that is to achieve in a league that's looking to shoot you down each passing season? Pop has yet to make a single Repeat...Show some respect and quit sounding like a fool. I hate Phil Jackson's whiney ass, but he took a bag of scrubs and a headcase into the playoffs. Without him, more Lottery on a 38-44 loss Team.
Phil Jackson knows the powers of the Matrix, how else would he 3-peat?
![]()
The Matrix still only makes him second to John Wooden in LA.
sorry but even Pop with this Lakers roster wouldn't be able to top the suns
Phil jax is the greatest coach of all time
stop the hating
Pop would've yanked Kwame after the 2nd miss from 3 feet, took some ing timeouts, and got his team in gear. Phil folded.
