The Spurs just finished the Kings series and the Mavs had the 5-6 days off and they couldn't capitalize on it. They say they can play better but don't they think the Spurs can play better as well. The bench didn't even get it going.

You know, it's funny. I asked for proof of the greatness that is the San Antonio media. I received no responses. Instead, it's personal attacks and profanity. Nothing supporting the almighty San Antonio media. But why would I expect a reasonable response when it's easier for you to just namecall and avoid the question? It's what you do best.

Reading around other messageboards in a number of sports, it's always the same thing. No one else's fans are as "smart" or "intelligent" as their own. I've seen it on all the Mavs boards, too. You're not breaking new ground.

If you don't know who Mike Monroe is, that reflects poorly on you, not on the SA media.

And I don't think that SA fans are necessarily that much more brilliant than say, Pistons or Pacers fans, or than a lot of other teams. Knicks, Sixers, and Celtics fans probably are smarter than we are, simply because of the East Coast obsession with all things sports coupled with their firm grasp of history.

I just think that Dallas fans, being residents of the Metroplex that they are, have this singular combination of ignorance, arrogance, and banal superficiality that makes them a stench in the nostrils of most other humans.

We have long understood that you Mav fans, having seen your team just of late on the subject of championships learn how to recite the alphabet, would come in and start lecturing us on your brilliant grasp of language should the teams meet in the playoffs, all this though the Spurs be a team of Hemingways and Faulkners.
