It's a bad idea to replace Pop right now unless the Spurs can guarantee that he's going to succeed. If Pop leaves coaching, I don't think he'd leave the Spurs. That sets up a situation like the one in Miami between Stan Van Gundy and Pat Riley, with less egos I would assume. The first six-game losing streak, and the media would create its own rumors. That's a bad situation for any replacement to be in - to look over their shoulder.
