So bitter... The Ticket is the greatest sports radio station in the world. They are completely loyal to our local teams, but they still find humor in them. They say it like it is. If the Cowboys are playing like crap and going 5-11, what are they suppose to say? They're supporting them, but telling the truth at the same time.

Laugh at and with your Spurs every now and then... that way when they get bounced, you won't go into depression. :p

Why would I be bitter. Our team has the rings? The Ticket in Dallas sucks when it comes to loyalty and you know it. They don't "just have fun with" with the local teams. They rip them. Why in the would I lie about that asswipe?

Sorry it's just funny that a Clippers fan comes on a Spurs Forum and starts talking about their "future", while they are still playing the Suns. I mean I would expect him to be on a Suns forum, but a Spurs forum? Seems like the Dallas Mavs lost to the Spurs and Clippers won over Suns, and WCF between Clips and Spurs was about to start...Please don't talk about your future. Tanking is just , and like you said, it doesn't matter, because you will still face them later on....stick with it.

As to answer your rhetorical questions (not), everyone was resting their players because they had already been set on a seed. Pau missed that one game against you, yet you still lost? Don't use them to try and get anything from them tanking....

umm, excuse me. you dont' have to butt into a conversation i'm having with another spurs fan. we never said our teams guarenteed to go on to teh WCF. We just talked about how it would be an interesting matchup, and one that i would like to see. If i had to pick, i'd still pick the suns actually, but that won't stop me from thinking about possible next round matchups. When i talk about the clippers "future", i'm talking about the years to come. Brand, Kaman, Maggette, mobley, livingston, radmonovich, q ross....etc... You gotta chill out man. I'm just happy to be in the playoffs this year so i don't care that much of what a mavs fan thinks about my team.

Dude, i honestly don't care. weather we got knocked out in the first round or the 2nd, or the WCF, as a clipper fan, you probably don't understand how good it is just to be in the playoffs. Personally, i'm probably ignorant for thinking we didn't tank. But if we did, it's just sweeter for me cuz i've gotten to go to more playoff games. Man, i dunno what i did to get all the mavs fans attacking me. Maybe i should retract my, "i hope you guys cream the Mavs" comment and say, "I hope you guys play hard against the mavs."

That's a Mavs fan for you MikeShafer. Dallas area fans have no respect for themselves or their teams. Here is an example of what I am talking about. It is a link to a high school football site and they are discussing what to do with the Stadium after the Cowboys move into their new home. The people from Dallas are saying to burn it down. If you can't respect the past, how can you respect the future. No loyalty.

You will not believe the talk up here in regards to the spurs. They constantly take shots at our town, people, riverwalk and yes you guest it ..our slogan "go spurs go". Believe it or not, there is even talk of a championship parade as well as the celebs that will speak at the rally. THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE!!!

What they failed to realize is that the SPURS are the champions, that POP (PJ) can counter anything, that this series is along ways from being over....

SPURS will win the next 3 games........
Sounds like you're talking to IDIOTS. Where are you hearing this crap? Seriously...

    Parade and celebs?? WTF???

"Go Spurs Go" is extremely middle-school cheerleader'ish, but whatever works the the Spurs. I've thought that for years...

LOL - Superbowl rings. Cowboys have been washed up for a while now and the Texans are dismal. We need a pro football team in SA and then we would have Superbowl rings and NBA rings. Fans are super in SA.

That is exactly what I was referring to. If you paid more attention SilverPlayer you would have seen that too. I think the city (Dallas) itself is great. But I am proud to be from San Antonio. San Antonians don't make San Antonio out to be what it's not. We accept it for what it is. Unlike people from Dallas.
Nicely said. I agree with you 100%

I am from Dallas and this is my first post. I find it odd that ppl have to bash cities in rivalries. I know ppl from San Antonio and I personally like it. I dont have a problem with the city - I think the Riverwalk is beautiful and the drinks there are great, the club scene is cool so I take nothing away from San Antonio...

With that said - I love Dallas. I dont think it is NY or any other big city - I enjoy it for what it is. It is a decent city. Is it as grand as some ppl make it out to be, no. But its far from boring... Dallas has its own great club scene, has its own great restuarants, we dont have a Riverwalk or anything like it (And I pray that Laura Miller is not tryna make the Trinity River Project anything like it... God forbid they try to do that to such a pitiful excuse for a River) but I dont think that justifies downtalking either city.

True there are Dallas residents who cant stand San Antonio, I am not one of them. I got nothing against San Antonio or any other city in Texas, but my home is Dallas. With that said - I wont be trolling. I just wanted to comment bc I dont want it to come across like all Dallas residents are that way... because all of us arent.

I have nothing against Dallas. There are a lot of beatiful women there who have the best body parts money can buy (just kidding).

The city is cool, the teams are cool, the fans are cool. I just can't stand the owner's -- Jerry Jones and Mark Cuban.

It's ironic that the two biggest jerks that own pro sports teams are in Dallas.

You should hear Norm Hitzges on the Ticket in Dallas today. He's says the Spurs are too hurt to be able to keep up w/ dallas and that the mavs are reeling off three straight. Listening to Mavs fans gives me a headache. Someone please shoot me now.

This has to be the dumbest thread on this entire board.

And for me to acknowledge that is saying a lot.

Let's see - city smack, traffic smack, green building smack, Fiesta smack, Clippers and Wolves smack, the obligatory Cuban smack, Cowboys smack, burning stadium smack aaaaand sports radio smack. Just like Sears - it's all inside.

Well I cant stand Jerry too much either, def bothers me know after the plastic surgery.
Mark I tolerate - I think he's ADHD often, but I tolerate him bc he made some major changes in the Mavs as a franchise. So he's okay.

I dont even listen to the Ticket, they get on every nerve in my body really.

The talk radio in Dallas is depressing. I used to watch the post game show for the Cowboys on Texas cable news and they were the guys from the Ticket in Dallas. Man those guys are en depressing.
    The Ticket = genius

    Listen all day every day...

There's a reason there are knock-off's of their name, format, bits, etc all over the US....
