FACT: The Mavs have never won a championship.
Little known sports fact:
The San Antonio Spurs have NEVER lost a game. EVER.
FACT: The Mavs have never won a championship.
Looked like the ball went out off of Damp's head on that one, and I could have sworn I heard a double hit on the shot (rim + backboard), but I wouldn't have had a problem with those calls going the other way. Either way, it was immediately made up with a BS moving pick call on Duncan (which was followed a bit later by Dampier pushing a Spur about 5 feet out of the play on a moving pick that wasn't called).
But it isn't just the Spurs getting screwed up calls. I normally watch 9 out of every 10 playoff games no matter whos playing. After the first couple games in in the first round I quit and just watched the Spurs. The officiating SUCKS in every game. But it does seem more apparent in this Spurs/Mavs series.
yeah they have. The lakers used to kick their butts all the time, fair and square. Mavs have obviously intimidated the refs.
LMAO!! Classic reply...this is too much...what a great day...
Note to Mavs fan:
Mavs have 0 NBA Championships
After this year, the Mavs will have 0 NBA Championships
Have a nice Day.
sorta bitter sweet from what I've been told. Mavs fans are happy they won, but they don't feel respected because they know the refs had way too big a hand in the victory.
Off Damp's head?? Hahaha...watch the replay again, holmes...
You heard a double hit?? hahaha...nevermind that the replay didn't show any re-direction of the ball off the backboard. Super ears!
Seriously...when your team loses, you only remember the calls that didn't go your way...
Don't care as long as the Mavs get over the "Spurs hump"...
I don't know if they've "intimidated" the refs. The Mavs aren't a very intimidating group. Dampier might look intimidating, but Tim makes him look like the giant puss that he is.
If Mavs fans really feel good about these last two "wins", so be it. If they get to the finals, I still say they would get royally slapped by the Pistons.
Sincerely,
Ben Wallace![]()
LMAO...I assure you that's NOT the case...
they are far from getting over that hump. game 6 will be a pressure cooker for the mavs.
really, then why the need for approval from a spurs fan site?
I'm been here since March...I didn't come here to "get approval" for these games...what are you talking about???
I didn't say it was over...I was speaking from the same perspective as the guy I was responding to (assuming the Mavs beat the Spurs)...
Wow! Two frickin' months! That's so dang impressive!
Sure they are![]()
Did I say I've been here a long time and deserved any kind of respect? Nope
I was just responding to his statement that I came here to "get approval" since I know the refs have given this to the Mavs...![]()
Ah yes...here come the old standards.
Let's talk about how many rings the Spurs have. That and a dime won't win you this series. The past has nothing to do with this current series.
I saw the Spurs fans in the building last night sheepishly slink out with replies of how many rings their favorite team has. It's the loser's lament. ing hilarious. Feel free to keep bringing it up, though. Anything to keep your head up.
Exactly.
Don't forget about the "go back to your own forum" replies too...![]()
Hey, that's what I saw/heard when I watched it. Like I said, wouldn't have upset me if they went the other way. I don't get obsessive and go watch replays over and over, so no thanks on that one. And the one slow motion replay they showed of the shot from overhead certainly looked like a minute change of direction.
And no I don't remember only those calls. Parker got away with grabbing some Dirk jersey on a play where Dirk missed the shot and the Spurs got the ball. Ginobili got away with at least 3 travels. There were several times a Spur got away with over the back.
Like I said. The officiating throughout ALL the playoff games has been horrible.
On a side note, do those AAC rims have mics in them or is the crowd just too dang quiet? They seem so freaking loud compared to everywhere else.
So do we Spurs fans sit and reminisce about our championships while the Mavs move on in the playoffs?![]()
I think Spur fans have a right to complain officiating after game 3 and 4. If you notice, by the end of both games, when Spurs seem to have control, a few whistles especially involving Tim Duncan seem to be way out of place. and end up changing the fate of the game.
This is crunch time, and little bumps by Timmy being called??????????? Would Lebron, Dirk, Kobe be called for those???? no. Fact is the refs have no respect whatsoever for our 3-time champion and MVP. Yes Spur fans have a right to complain, they'd be spineless if they didn't.
How about the technical??? How much was Dirk ing and did he get a tech? nope. yeah we got right to complain. We should be up 3-1.
