I'd keep Tim, Manu, TP, Bruce, Fin, Beno, and Barry.
NVE, Nazr, and Horry have to go/retire.
I think Rasho is untradeable, and Oberto I don't really care either way.
We need some bigs and maybe an athetic, young defensive 3.
Kori, do you believe Horry will retire after this season?

I think he said he was playing 1 or 2 more years (including this season).
I'm just saying what I prefer.
No maybe about it. They've needed it for a couple years.
Imagine if the Spurs had a young defensive 3 that could guard Howard while Bowen guarded Dirk in this series!
i prefer him to stay
Love Gerald Wallace. The only player (besides D-Rob and Hakeem) to average 2 blocks and 2 steals in the same season. He'd probably cost too much though.
]Duncan = keep
Parker = listen to offers
Manu = listen to offers
Barry = trade
Nazr = listen to offers.
Udrih = listen to offers.
Van x = trade
Rasho = listen to offers.
Finley = listen to offers.
Oberto = keep
bowen = keep.
horry = trade to houston
Dude was a deep bench dweller when SAC was making a push to the finals. He was cheap then. That was then this is now.
My wishes
Keep:
Duncan
Parker
Ginobili
Bowen
Finley
Trade:
Nazr
If someone better is available, trade, otherwise keep:
Barry
Oberto
Marks
Sanders
Udrih
Rasho
Horry (or join Van Exel in retirement)
Retiring:
Van Exel
Needs:
Rebounding--Tim can't do it alone
Athletic 3
A protege for Bruce to teach defense
Reliable backup point guard
Tim, TP, Gino and Bruce are keepers.
Everyone else is expendable.
Van X will retire
Nazr will quit
Barry....If NOH won't give JR for him,I don't think he is a tradeable.
Horry signed a 3 year contract I believe and after that is up he is retiring.
The Spurs defintely need another PG. It has shown in the playoffs that NVE is old and broken down and Beno is not even close to being ready or if he ever will.
Kori How many years have left from Findog's contract 1or 2?
Oberto=He has'n got much trade value
Rasho= nearly untradeable,but I would take him back to Minny for Jaric.
How about that?
We desperately need some inside presence and even Nazr or Rasho would be a help for a MLE.
Maybe I am wrong,but as far as I know,the last year of his contract is a team option.
I have no idea, I just know he signed a 3 year contract worth 10 mil
I think the same! But really like to keep Barry maybe as a back up point guard+ shooting guard
Keep :
Duncan
Parker
Manu
Bruce
Finley
Horry
Trade :
Rasho
Barry
Oberto
Udrih
Don't re-sign :
NVE
Nazr
Sanders
Re-sign if we don't have another 6th bigmen :
Marks
Finley signed for 3 years -- so 2 more.
Oberto makes 2.5M, that's why I said trade him in a package if necessary. Probably no one would want him on his own, but if you were putting together a package and you needed salary to come together -- he makes a bit.
I know Rasho is nearly untradeable, though his contract sucks, it's one year shorter now so they will probably keep trying.
SO 2 years left now 1+1team option.
I think he will retire next year.
First of all. Finley is not going to be traded. He signed for a lot less money here so Pop and RC aren't going to trade him after a pretty good season just because we need to get younger. Trading Barry however is a more likely since they almost traded him to New Orleans. Even though I really like Barry's game and his character.
The obvious goners are Van Exel (due to retirement) and Nazr (free agency).
Now I'm going to stop this off season talk and focus on GAME 5.
Get rid of VanExcel, he simply doesn't fit in the Spurs' chemistry. He is a premature shooter, that is transition offense material...San Antonio is not that. Get rid of him...his shooting is simply terrible.
I wouldn't say he's untradeable ... there's always Isiah.
Duncan: keep
Manu: keep
Parker: keep
Bowen: keep
Finley: keep
Barry: try to trade, but only if you get something better in return
Rasho: see above
Beno: keep, unless there is something valuable in return
Oberto: see above
Marks: same as Udrih and Fabri
Nazr: trade or let him walk away
Sanders: see above
Horry: he will retire. Otherwise, keep
Van Exel: retire (hopefully)
Scola: keep or trade for a long, athletic SF who can shoot the 3.
Javtokas: keep and bring him
Sanikidze: keep but don't bring him yet
Mahinmi: see above
Karaulov: see above (or trade his rights if there's anyone willing to do such a thing).
