I'd rather go after Dwight Howard or Chris Bosh.... Both fans of Duncan and Robinson....

    I think
    going from davis>tim>ian
is great we are blessed with three great MVP big men
I think ian will come over 2 years from now

i think jav comes over next season to a NBA champ time like spurs and might start

you think with him here we will be able to run the high and low again likewhen david was here?

JR Smith isn't big enough to solve the Spurs wing issues
I was saying we should have gone after ron artest, ofcourse that didn;t work out.

Javtokas is 26. He is athletic enough that he will bring the alley-oops back to the Spurs offense that have been missing since Robinson retired. Like the Duncan-to-Center alley-oop. He can't jump like he used to before the accident but he can jump better than Rasho and Oberto that's for sure. He can run the floor.
I saw the pix, he looks the part; but I have a Mac and the windows media player does not come up. I can check out Quicktime movies if they are available.

If they can, Spurs should bring both Javtokas and Mahinmi over for next season.

Bruno, that is a great picture. Ian needs to be in Spurs training camp.

I don't get all the hype over JR Smith- like he has been so great for New Orleans? All he has been is a total pain in the ass.
I watched most of the Hornets training camp when JR was a rookie. Everyone in the organization was very high on him. I do not know what went wrong to sour all the good sentiment, but that does not negate the fact that he is still very young and a great basketball talent. He'll be going into his 3rd year in the League, so he is poised to make his mark with 2 years already under his belt. Also, the change in environment will do him some good, especially coming to a championship caliber organization.

Ian is one, probably two years away. Spurs completely believe in guys getting their playing experience in Europe- look at Manu.
Manu's position is diffferent, 'cause the Spurs needed skilled players with a certain refined depth to their game because of the Shaq/Kobe Lakers. The situation or times dictated how the organization make those decisions. Ian can already rebound, run, play defense and jump very high. At this point, that is better than what both current Centers can do. Spurs can only help Ian develop faster; hence, "baptism by fire."

He's an athletic 2 and pending on the situation, may be able to freelance at the 3 spot. He would give the Spurs more athleticism and energy. With TD and Ian, the paint is secure.

Manu isn't going to last forever the way he plays. Smith is 20, a high wire act, and shoots 37% from downtown. Yeah, let's take a pass on that.
