It was a great block but the one against Billups in Game 7 last year was better.

Holy , that's awesome!![]()

This game was called EVENLY (not perfect). The first of the series that was. One was slightly SA, three were some the worst, most biased officiating in the history of basketball for Dal. The call on Bowen at the end of reg in 4 was one of the single worst calls in history. It is obvious that the league doesnt want SA to win, all i'm saying is that if you arent going to call the league out for the crooked s they are at least kiss their ass for giving your team a series (for now). But just wait - the refs will love you until a better ratings team comes along.
that's all good and well to think...and if that's how you feel I don't have a problem with it but calling me a s bag for what? Disagree with my point of view..that's fine but reacting like that even though I don't have a problem with the outcome of the game-that's a bit weird. I'm not here to troll..I come here because I like reading the viewpoints of the other team and none of my posts have been inflammatory..so please just chill on the name calling. The mavs lost the game because of dumb turnovers in the last few minutes-not because of any non-calls or calls(though I thought we were going to close it out after Dirk hit that 3-ball).
The hand is part of the ball.
Yeah, it was a nice makeup for all the elbows Dork was throwing that didn't get called
Can I get a bigger pic of this for my desktop BG???
I mean, that is a pretty clean block, fellas... minimal body contact and even if there is some contact - it's not like he's using his body to push Dirk and gain an advantage... man, the wrist strength Bowen must have...
It is extremely sad to see people acting as if Bowen made a great play just to get exc ited aobut somehting...
You just show how ignorant you are about basketball to say this kind of stuff..
Okay, wise one.
It wasn't a great play? Why?
(By the way, the Spurs won -- we don't need to make up stuff to get excited about.)
Yeah, cause your 3rd place MVP candidate airballed a 2-foot putback to win the game is something Mavs fans should get excited about... I guess you should get excited about the play Bowen made as well... or maybe Jason Terry's airballed attempt to win the game... or maybe how Josh Howard got the jumpball and called time-out with 2 seconds left... or maybe when Finley posterized Dampier... yeah - that's the one to get excited about.
It's called a fade away.. it was Dirk's mistake to do it right next to Bowen and he took to long doing it. Which was probably from all the help defense.
It wasn't a great play at all.. Bowen was just right there.. big deal.. I mean it was great for you obviously.. but it wasn't anything approaching even a good defensive play.. unless youy consider getting faked out of your shorts good defense..
And what's even more sad is that you people constantly do this. say how great Bowen is to defend Dirk because he's 6 inches shorter.. if Bowen can guard Dirk then why does your whole team double and triple Dirk and why does Bowen have to constantly foul Dirk? If Dirk got the calls Duncan gets against our defenders Bowen would foul out of every game in the 1st quarter.
If Bowen doesn't make that block, Dirks probably nails the J and we've got to draw up some miracle last second shot. That was a great defensive play, you just can't see it through your Homer Vision.
The ability to recover and make that kind of play is unbelievable - typical Dallas fan - just sitting at home, never having played a game of basketball before in order to respect the type of athleticism and concentration it takes to get up after being faked out and have that kind of wrist strength to push a guy down and get a jumpball call.
pssh I wish Duncan got the calls Dirk got in Dallas
If Dirk doesn't do a fadeaway and take forever doing it then Bowen gets nothing.
You can see in that picture that Dirk took the fadeaway becaus ehe had 2 help defenders waiting for Dirk at the rim.. which is how Stack and Damp got rebounding position..
So is that part of Bowen's great defense too?
Please.. this is just completely sad.. How could Bowen not get that block?
McClane is like his entire city - elitist little pricks that don't respect blue-collar work ethics or work horses (such as Bruce Bowen). Instead, they're used to getting a lot of things handed to them on a silver platter (like 24 free throws). Just a town of flash, glamour, and arrogance.
It was a great play because Bowen blocked the shot with the least amount of contact possible. That is why he got the call, or in this case, the no call.
That was an absolutely beautiful block.
So basically you are saying that ANY player in the league would have gotten the block??
Your gibberish is annoying.
Wrist strength? He had his hand full on the ball before Dirk could even launch it.. and Dirk was fading away.. so it took NO strength to pull him down.
Now.. if Bowen had his hand on Dirk before he went up and held him down.. you might have something to get excited about.. but again.. this is just stupid.
Y'know no one takes you seriously when you post stuff like this right...
Wait ... aren't you also the guy with the theory that Duncan sprained Dirk's ankle on purpose (purposely fouling out) because he knew he'd eventually foul out and wanted to get Dirk off the court too?
Yes.. any player who happened to be standing next to Dirk while he is shooting a fadeaway and doesn't realize it could have done the same thing.. ANYONE. How could they not? Dirk obviously just didn't realize Bowen was standing there.. because he was too preoccupied with the help defense and getting the shot off..
