Yeah, I'm 26, and it has been that way ever since I could remember. It is a form of recycling, but you pay the $.10 in advance (deposit) and thus get it back when you return them. I believe our legislature introduced the policy as a way of keeping the streets clear of empty beer cans.

Okay, first of all we (in the midwest and great lakes) call it pop. I have never understood why people call it Coke. To me, a Coke is a Coca-Cola Classic, but to each their own I guess. I will agree to just chalk it up to regional differences, and so forth. Second, I live two and half hours from downtown Detroit, so I am not really effected by it. Yeah it is ugly and dirty, but they are trying, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt. Third, if you do send Kramer and Newman over, make sure they can get a gov't vehicle and free gas, or their fuel margins will eat them alive.

We used to take budweiser, drink it and rinse it out then put can's Back into the box. And fill up the whole wall with the boxes. 80's bachelor pad.

I think I threw a party and someone went nuts with a marker and ed up everything. They wrote and on people that where passed out too.
