I think you and him might be of the same mind there...
For a sport that mimics the WWE in more ways than one, it would be strangely appropriate.
if I had it my way, Sheed would come out wearing the Nature Boy robe sayin' "Wooooooooooo!"

Ben is the defensive anchor of the Pistons team and one of the better help defenders with his stripping, blocking, and contested shots, so the chances of Dumars letting Ben go would be a very, very, smart move.![]()
The chances would be a smart move?
Huh?
My apologies, So "IF". I didn't noticed it until you pointed it out.
sry spurs fans but the only sign and trade that will happen with det/san is wallace for duncan. The pistons wont trade him unless he wants to leave, and i can almost gaurintee he wants to stay. He made a little fuss earlier in the year about touching the ball so he can get a couple extra dollars when it comes to resigning him.
I'm sure he's just doing what his agent tells him to.
Agent's always twist the thumb screws as best they can and that means turn down offer number one.
Are you guys smoking crack? Ben Wallace isn't going anywhere.
ben beside duncan lol i dont think that would happen all there rivalrys since the longest time they would probably scrap
even if IF Ben was to leave DET .. you would never see him and Timmy on the same team.
supposedly Ben's upset in DET because they say it is Chauncy's team & not his? Then why would he come to SA to play second fiddle to Tim Duncan? No matter what Timmy is the big dog here.
IF Ben were to leave DET it would eb to a team where he wouldd be the Big Dog.
Ok, how about this scenario: Tim is the man. it's his team. And Ben is the big dog. I don't think Tim wants to be the big dog here. Ben can be the big dog.![]()
Ben will never be a Spur. Not because he wouldn't want be or because they wouldn't want him. Because the Pistons wouldn't trade him regardless of who the other team is.
But don't be surprised if he leaves Detroit as a free agent. There are rumors that he is not happy here anymore. There are rumors that he doesn't like Flip Saunders. There are rumors that he is starting to feel unapperciated. There are rumors that he isn't pleased with the " It's Chauncey's team" "Chauncey's the leader" thing. And he is not happy that he doesn't get any looks at the offensive end.
He has also signed with Agent Arm Tellum who is known for asking for outreagous contracts. And getting them most of the time. So it is apparent that he is at least considering leaving if they don't give him a big contract.
With all that being said I don't expect him to leave in the end. He has it good here and if he doesn't realize that than he is making a big mistake. There are not many places he could go where he could win Championships.
If he were to become a Spur they would be virtually unstoppable though. With him and Duncan patrolling the paint they would be the best defensive team in the NBA without question.
But the Spurs would have to give up Ginobili or Parker. And I don't think the Spurs would do that nor do the Pistons need a guard to replace Ben. Our backcourt is set for the next couple of years. Rasho and Mohammad would not be enough for the Pistons to do the deal so it will never happen.
You gotta be kidding me. No way in do I believe that Ben Wallace is that immature to break up a championship contender coming off a 64 win season that's proven it can get the job done before (and probably will get the job done this season too). I sense the media blowing up a comment that Ben might have made in anger after losing game 1 or maybe one of the Cleveland games.
Angling for a max contract.
He'll get it somewhere - probably Detroit.
I don't believe he's worth the max and I don't think he'll be offered much more than the current highest paid Piston per year, Rasheed at 11.4 million next year. I think the Pistons may come in with an offer somewhere in the range of 12.5 to 13.5 million per year, about 70 million over 5 years.
The problem for the Pistons is that there are teams out there willing to give Ben the max. Will Ben turn down an extra 20 million over 5 years to stay with the Pistons? Would you? I wouldn't.
They also have to ante up for Tayshaun who made only 1.7 million this year.

Well, after the game last night, over on the Pistons boards, they were screaming for his head. Like "no way he gets a max contract", "no way he can be on this team next year", "sit him down or this series is over"....on and on and on...
Guess when you miss a hundred free throws, and it costs your team the game, you're not much of a favorite any more....
if the pistons lose to Miami and flip is still the coach i think Ben goes to chicago and the pistons throw their MLE at.... Nazr
