You can make $10/hour starting for Washington Mutual and save your skin.
Great, Pop plays small ball and loses and this chick has to get a job at in Bill Millers.
Pop should be fired.

Angel,
Do you go to school?
Sorry, but we can't all work at the Ritz.![]()
Egg xactly. Sometimes you just got to work to get that sweet, sweet $148/week. It isn't always glamourous but at least you're doing what you have to do to get the job done. That's something that ranks on my top five of respectable things all-time.
Kudos to you Archie's semi-girlfriend...yes, kudos indeed.
If I want sweet tea, I'll put the sugar in myself, goddam it!

huh?
wtf?
I;ve worked some low wage jobs , not all were in restaurtants, but the ones that were are the worst. you can get paid the same or more in a less toxic environment.
I have another possible option... an office job this time. I have to call a neighbor for the details/ interview.
I figure I might as well apply for both jobs since that double my chances of getting one.
Thanks Kris.![]()
Taco Bell near me is advertizing for Manager positions, up to $45K (probably BS).
I've seen a couple other fast food chains with signs up for hiring. Aren't they getting flooded at this time of year by students out of school? Why are the signs up?
Maybe because some don't want to work for that pay?
Yes, retail and office jobs are far better than food service (and most of the time pay better too). Bill's is a good place though, there's only one that I know of in Austin and it's not close to me at all, so I'm sure to go there every time I'm in the area. <3 the tea.
This is why Sequ should be Secretary of Labor.
It can be licked off.![]()
Our neighbor is going to try to get me an interview for Thursday.
The job sounds fairly simple. I would be a front desk service rep for a company that produces signs.
The salary is the the same as Bill Miller's anD I can wear jeans.
Also, my neighbor thinks her boss will give me a flexible fall schedule so I can keep my Spurs job. For now my hours would be Monday- Friday 8:30- 5:30.
My interview at Bill Miller's is tomorrow. Now I don't know what to do about it. Should I still go?
Or is it safe to hold out for this other interview since I can probably always get hired at a fast food place.
Thoughts?
Angel, the best of luck in your job hunting... But for a person as sweet as you, you might want to go more for an office job or even working retail, like Foley's or Dillards.![]()
go ahead and go to the interview, but keep your options open.
Hold off on Bill Miller's![]()
So you think I should cancel my Bill Miller's interview or try to postpone it to say Friday?
If you can postpone that would be nice.
If I keep Thursday open, is there any reason I shouldn't keep my Bill's interview?
Pretty Pic OSC![]()
I would rather have the office job. I'm just nervous about not having work.. i.e. income.
I think you should go to the interview. Once you've made a person set aside time for you, I feel you're obligated to show up. If you're not sure, don't accept any jobs if they offer you one.
I was thinking I should go as well... and see how they feel about me not starting right away.
Who knows they might not even want me.
