Yeah, yeah, . . . we all know he will get his shot. Who else will the Spurs get to supplement the new help. Spurs still need more athleticism. Stay tuned, . . .![]()
Yeah, he's doing a great job here. In ing smallball NBA, this is a foul, Yao just needs to turn around the full way and make a step to the side.
Pronunciation is something completely different than you would imagine here.Hypothetical: he messes up on the play. "That A can't do right now"![]()
Correct, Stern is turning the NBA into a primadonna league. I think the USA basketball squad will get it's collective butts kicked in international play because of this. These guys won't be able to handle the contact.
So Javtokas went to school in the US???
Do not make fun of a Slovene.
Gregor Fuchka is one of the greats in European basketball and an European champion.
But really, wouldn't Barkley or Walton at least tried to remember the proper pronounciation? I would think so.
can he gaurd quick 3s or big 3s like dirk n tmac?
I think he played some HS ball, one semester at UA, and then signed to play in Europe. At that point, you are automatically draft eligable. A similar thing happened with Sanikidze. He came over and played one semester of JUCO ball at a very young age, like 16(?) and then went back to play pro ball. The Spurs are good at ferreting out these things. Neither of these guys would have appeared on any early entry list.
he played for arizona or sum
no center or true pf can guard tmac
he played 8 games at Arizona and scored a total of 6 points. As you can guess, he wasn't exactly in the rotation. One of the articles I've read had him relating that the reason he left Arizona to be a pro in europe was that he was tired of sitting on the bench. So Javtokas went to school in the US???
Why dont we bring this two kids for next season?
he is indeed rocked up.
LOL!

You think he's great over there... a is a household name over here.
Mother a should be proud![]()
And while some pros would try to get the correct pronunciation...they'd only be doing it because they had to.....in truth, they'd want to use the phonetic pronunciation just like everyone else.
Charles Barkley would have a stroke trying make himself pronounce that name correctly.
CC said that earlier this year the coach said he could cancel practice if Javtokas could jump over a car....which he did.
The guy still has hops and has no problem dunking the ball, with style.
What kind of car? :p

Damn...I thought the forum seemed a little stupider than usual lately.
WB.
Dunno but I have to imagine a @ 7 footer jumping over any car is a rare site and impressive...that's a lot of legs to get over that car.
Think that story about jumping over a car was from pre-injury.
I wonder how the coach would've felt had he not cleared it and broke his leg again....
At any rate, my opinion about Javtokas remains as it has since his comeback. Bring him over.
Point being...whether you believe the car story or not, whether it is true or not, or whether you have just watched the videos provided by objective, the guy can still get up in the air...
Since the NBA rim isn't 11 feet high...I don't think it's a huge loss for him to no longer be able to dunk on one. He can still jump well though, as is obvious in those videos.
