Josh Smith is a uve prospect, but he isn't worth any of the Big 3 yet. No way.
What about Rasho for Childress and filler? They'd have to look at that, surely?
u mean smith isnt as good as childress or what?

Oz - supposedly, the ATL already nixed a trade for Rasho last year. As for Josh Smith, you gotta buy low and sell high. By the time he blows up, it will take not just ONE of the top 3, but Manu and Tony, or Tim alone to pry him loose.
Josh Smith is definitely what the Spurs need. Problem is that his stats are Tayshaun Prince like, and it's difficult to imagine a team trading such a player (Definitely not by using Barry, or Rasho as tradebaits).
Prince's stats:
14.1PPG, 4.2RPG, 2.3APG, .76SPG, .48BPG, .455FG%, .765FT%, .35 3P%, 35.3MPG
Smith's stats:
11.3ppg, 6.6rpg, 2.4APG, .80SPG, 2.6BPG, .42.5FG%, .719FT%, .309 3P%, 32MPG
Considering that Atlanta will be 20M under the cap and the Hawks may be trading with Phili for AI (season ticket magnet), Spurs should be involved if there's a need of a 3rd team party. John Salmons is another terrific prospect IMO.
Well, God knows that ATL needs the ticket magnet. When I went to their site to check their roster and stats, the cover page offers lower level season tix for $21 a seat. I repeat: lower level season tix for $21 a seat. Even with all of that young, exciting talent, they can't draw.
Only if Isaiah replaces Billy Knight in their front office.
trade them barry+rasho, what they get is veteran leadership and a big centre and a backup pg.
Anyone who thinks ATL deals with us before making a play for Iverson really hasn't given this very much thought.
I could see that.
For Iverson.
They might be a able to raise their ticket prices the following season.
iverson on the hawks hahaha lame, i dont think the young guyz willl like it if they are gettin less touches, if i was the 76s i do the deal but then they have no SG, Iggy and josh are more like the same type of players.
Philly loses the contract and Atlanta puts butts in the seats. Pretty "win-win" if the Sixers get back the right guys,
um i dont think hawks would want a guy on a team that dresses like a thug and could have bad influences on there young core. If i were the hawks try and get KG or sum other bigshot in teh league.
Nazr has already had one stop in ATL. They traded him, so no, I don't think they're all that interested in him.
we should make a trade with denver nuggets for najera+demarr johnson
najeras contract doesnt finish untill 06/07 4.1-4.5mill only 07/08 option
Demarr johnson is a F.A and his only earnin the minimum 800k this season
trade barry 4.3mill i think +filler or draft pick.
demarr johnson

Quite an athlete even after the car accident... Good mobility and ballhandling skills for his size... Doesn't play much defense... Shaky jumper.

Fans love him because he plays with a lot of heart... Will fight for the rebound against bigger players... Good shooting percentages... Can play the three frontcourt spots
OTOH, he was an overlooked backup back then, so it's not impossible that they would reconsider.
At this point I would think that the Hawks would happily put Al Qaeda members on the court if it would fill the arena.
Any of their wing players will be fine with me. Just take Rasho.
If there's anything ATL needs aside from a PG, it's a good shot-blocker, rebounder, and defender in the middle. Joel Przybilla will probably be their first FA choice at C over Nazr. He'll probably be the most expensive C on the market because he's superior in the aforementioned facilities to the other FA's C's that'll be out there like Nazr, Nene, Lorenzen Wright etc. plus he's younger, bigger, and more physical than either Nazr or Lorenzen Wright and he's less injury-prone than Nene. ATL definitely has the cap space to afford to s out a lot for him though.
