How many athletic 6'10" SF's are out there?
not many but it's our priority otherwise we'll have a hard time matching up with dallas now that they're an elite team.

    Jeffries isn't close to Prince.
He could be, though. He'd never gotten even 27 minutes per game with the other players on the team at SF. Prince never really had a lot of compe ion when winning the job.

Jeffries isn't stuck behind anybody, and he will definitely get more than the MLE str8 up. He's Washington's Tayshaun Prince.
He's stuck behind Jamison AND Caron Butler.

I'd rather have Jeffries at the 4 than a guard.

    .

    Jeffries is a starter.
He actually started at SG this year for the wiz because of Butler and Jamison where there so he played out of position when he's a SF/PF type player. That just speaks to his versatility that he can play 3 spots, in the cavs series he guarded James, Gooden, and Marshall at different times.

Jones would've been the youngest member of the Spurs' swingman rotation this past season.

i don't see a problem with signing a 27 year old, is there really that big a difference between a 25 year old and a 27 year old.

    .

    Jeffries is a starter.
...who plays 25 minutes. He's stuck on a deep team with a lot of damn good players siphoning minutes.

He plays 25 minutes because of foul trouble. Ruffin, Thomas usually sub for him, unless they go to a smaller lineup with AD.
Buttler was the 6th man for a good part of the season ala Ginobili (spark from the bench). Please don't insist on the matter, I watched all Wiz games. Jeffries is their defensive stopper and a big part of what they're doing.

which part? Jeffries did start at SG although he was listed as a GF and he did guard James, Gooden and Marshall in the cavs series.

With your logic, when Bruce guards Dirk, he's a PF.
With exstatic's logic if you play 25minutes you're behind Butler and Jamison in a VERY DEEP team. Jeffries didn't have a single compe or for the 4 spot. Maybe Ginobili is behind TP, BB then (but heck, Spurs are a deep team.)

    Ginobili doesn't average 25 minutes.

the wiz are very deep at SF, Butler Jamison Jeffries Hayes.

Jeffries is listed as a GF, that's my logic behind saying he starting at SG. The starting line up for the Wiz is Arenas, Jeffries, Butler, Jamison and Haywood, who's the SG?

SG=Hayes, but after his injury Butler got the spot.
    Jamison SF
    Jeffries PF

So. why does he only play 25 minutes? That foul won't fly. 2.9 isn't very many damn fouls.
