Worse than FLIP

)
Mike Woodson
Mike Mntgomery
Dwane Casey
BTW- Seattle will kill the spurs next year, if we have the same coach
and roster-minus NAZR, BARRY and the rumored trades.
You got any Money for a little bet exstatic?
I'm still don't like the way the "snake in the grass" "AJ" as Chucky Adkins called him, Pop and DRob put the knife in BH's BACK 10 years ago and
how much Pop did to keep BH out of the NBA. I'll admit that what BH
did at Fordam didn't help![]()
Oh, yeah, how could I forget?

Dwane Casey doesn't belong there, I should know, i pointed out Flip was a bad coach years ago when he was hanging 50 win season trophies up.
Mo Cheeks
Terry Porter
Rode in his car several times. He was my neighbor!
Spot on!
Other coaches worse than Flip are all other coaches the Wolves had before and after Flip.
Damn! I'm already missing those 50 win a season and first-round exiting Wolves teams he used to coach. It beats the crap out of watching a lottery bound team again.![]()
-Ask the Kings fans about there pacific division les.
I'm sure they would have rather canned Adel years ago and stunk for a couple years in order to reach the goal.
Go watch the Pistons if you want to see exciting 50 plus win regular season teams get punked in the playoffs.
Without hesitation, coaches worse than Flip in my opinion:
1. Sam Mitc
2. Terry Stotts
3. Mike Montgomery
4. Bob Weiss
Coaches arguably worse than Flip:
1. Mike Woodson - I actually think Woody is not a bad coach, but he might be better suited as an assistant coach
2. Mike Dunleavy - not impressed by what he did this season, I attribute Clippers success more to the evolution of Elton Brand and the additions of Cassell and Mobley
3. Lawrence Frank - neck and neck really, but I give the edge to Flip as the better coach
4. Dwane Casey - yet to really be determined, but one could make a case
5. Mo Cheeks - he also seems like a better assistant coach than head coach
6. Mike Brown - helped the Cavs become a better defensive team, but offensive sets consisted of isolation plays for LeBron and simple dump-downs to the post to Zydrunas ... he seems very lacking at the offensive end
What horrible logic.
Wouldn't that be better logic than "lets not judge him from his past. He didn't have this team. Its a new chapter......"

My logic is that i'm enough of an anti-homer to call out the hometown, nationally loved coach for the loser punk that he really was even when he was doing good.
When have ANY piston fans on here destroyed Flip during that winning stretch or better yet Billups as the joke he was for a top MVP candidate during the regular season?
What does any of that have to do with saying Dwane Casey is a worse coach?
If anything, it is at least arguable that Casey is a worse coach based on the only one year he's been a head coach.
Now, it is more likely that Casey would have to coach for several more seasons to make a genuine assessment, but just because Flip is a bad playoff coach, it doesn't mean you can't argue that Casey is worse. Casey simply hasn't done well so far. And, you can argue he's worse.
Just because Flip is bad, it doesn't mean Casey isn't worse.
There's no logic behind that rationale.
1 damn season. How is it without Flip over there? Is it good that you don't get knocked out of the first round? Oh wait you don't even have the chance to get knocked out of the first round anymore. My bad sickdsm.
1 damn season.
That's all Flip had where his team overperformed when it mattered.
Was it any wonder Sam Cassell was quoted as saying the reason why they were so successful at the time was because they just play? He scoffed at the questions regarding Flip being fired at that time not bc he thought Flip was a great coach but because Flip had nothing to do with them doing well for their roster.
JamStone: I hold very little regard for what you think of "logic" in head coaches. I might try to explain why i think when its all said and done Eric Mussellman could be regarded as a better coach then Fratello or Hubie but I'd rather not.
Does a coach DEMAND defense? Does he know how to handle personalities? Does he intimidate?
Casey wasn't my choice for HC, that was Musselman, but he does demand defense.
