And I really don't like the Mavericks. I just like the other two teams less (and that has nothing to do with the Pistons losing).
Whoever has the best chance of denying Shaquille O'Neal a ring has gotten my unquestioned support since he came into the league, and I'm not going to change my policy now.

suns are more then likely out tonight, so i'm going for the heat, i hate almost everyone on the heat but i hate cuban, dirk, and aj even more.
I'm rooting for a Miami vs Suns Finals...with Miami winning...

I don't care who wins. After Stern admitted he is rigging the NBA so that flashier teams win, I quit watching. Look I was a bulls fan and saw that Jordan got every benefit of the doubt call ever invented. Most of us said well he deserves it because of who he is and what he has done for the game. But when Dirk starts getting MJ treatment, I knew it was time to stop watching. Then, Ronnie Nunn (head of officials) said on NBA insiders that the blocking call on Timmy was incorrect and should have been called a charge on Dirk. I was saying "yeah right" don't act like the officials didn't know what they were doing. Stern's three main guys Bavetta, Joey Crawford, and Javie were given explicit instructions from the head honcho to make sure we get outta there. I watched the 1st couple of games of the Phoenix series and I noticed that Dirk wasn't getting nearly the RESPECT he received against us. Did the refs suddenly forget hand checking fouls? Could it be that little Stevie gets the same RESPECT as Dirk? I even saw that Dirk had to sit in the first half of a game because he was in FOUL trouble. Was he EVER in foul trouble in the Spurs series? The mission was ACCOMPLISHED. Make sure that there won't be another boring finals with the Spurs and Pistons. Look for the finals to be called completely different. Shaq will be allowed to elbow, knock defenders off with his butt, and Wade can not be looked at without going to the line. Then, Cuban will send in tapes, get fined, and miraculously Shaq will foul out the next game. Stern would have wanted the Lakers/Heat, but the Lakers weren't good enough. This will be the first year since the Lakers/Pacers series that I won't be watching the finals.
Reasons to pull for the Suns- nash & marion
Reasons to pull against them- d'antoni & sarver, amare is too y for my taste but he's young. Also, bell is a punk.
Reasons to pull for the mavs- avery diop dirk is good (I hate when he makes faces.)
Reasons to pull against them- CUBAN, terry, stackhouse, MAV FANS
Reasons to pull for Miami- Wade and Miami fans
Reasons to pull against them- Shaq, Zo, the mitten, the shimmy
I don't care. This is probably the first NBA Finals I won't watch since 1985. I hate Shaq, and hope he loses. I hate Cuban, and hope he never gets a le. I hate Nash, and it would be disgusting to see his overrated ass legitimized by a le.

For me it seems to depend on who I've made my vBookie bet on. I bet on Mavs in 6 and Heat in 6 and then I started rooting for them.
I thought this would be a decade all about the Pistons and Spurs.. I guess one can beat 5 Sheed. I hate players who get so many calls when they haven't even earned it. You didn't even see MJ get these calls after he became a legend. He didn't get the benifit of the whistle his first 5 years and here come Lebron and Wade and you can't even look at the guys. Stern
I havent watched an NBA game since G7Spurs/Mavs.
I hate Shaq with a passion. Now that I hear he is in the finals, I will not watch another game, nor get on ESPN, CNNSI, NBA, etc., .com's until the draft.
Once again, I hate Shaq with a passion. Shaq ruins the entire playoffs for me.
Whoever comes out of the West.
Suns first. If Dallas advances, then it comes down to this:
Miami & Shaq winning
VS
Dallas & Cuban winning
I'm rooting for the snakes on the plane.
Suns if they make it. Heat if the Suns don't make it.

Shaq's been a jerk too many times in his career for me to root for the Heat. Do any of the Spurs fans here recall his unfounded disrespect for David Robinson? I remember Shaq addressing that issue to a reporter and saying something to the effect that he didn't like Robinson but that 'if he saw him in the store he wouldn't punch him out'.
Robinson was the greatest role model of all time (IMO) in the NBA and Shaq's a shameless self promoter. No contest on who I'm pulling for. I'd love to see Shaq "devasted" for the third year in a row!
