Check what Sarver is saying. He's saying basically no way he is going into luxury tax territory, and this is a guy who has given up talent and definitely will be giving up talent in the future to avoid that tax. Of course if he can continue to find dumb s like Atlanta he won't suffer for it.

Nazr has a jumpshot, sort of, and won't make Flip feel uncomfortable by actually knowing something about defense. Sign him up.

I'm not sure why the Bulls would want him unless they've found a taker for Chandler, but they do need size.

Actually it's 07-08 that will kill Sarver. He'll be dealing with resigning Barbosa and Diaw. At the rate Diaw is going he'll command a max contract. You really think Sarver will carry Marion, Stoudamire, Nash and Diaw's mega-contracts and sizeable contracts for Barbosa and Bell as well?

Nazr knows nothing about defense. Where did you read that, Bigfeet?

With Stoudemire how long does it take them to dispatch the Mavs? 5, maybe 4?

Next couple of years East teams will feel they need to sign a banger or two to matchup against Shaq and the Heat. We've been through it in the West. Ben for all his defense palys Shaq horribly. Nazr and Rasho are both more effective against Shaq. Still you want Nazr, you're welcome.

??? I think Shaq hung 40 or 50 on Nazr his last meeting with him as a Knick. Nazr isn't a Shaq stopper or even a Shaq slower downer. Think: wet paper bag, as in Shaq will go thru him like a...

Keep in mind that my reference point is Ben Wallace.

And the Bulls did a fine job against O'Neal with the "big men" they had. Particularly with O'Neal rapidly declining and soon to be completely finished, that isn't much of an issue. What they need is interior offense, that Nazr can't really provide.

Interior offense? Scola foe Deng. Spur's throw in a S&T of Nazr as garnish.

Nazr is a better FT shooter but I'm not sure he has a better jumpshot

Ben jump shoot stats (regular season) :
    Short (<17) :4/18
    Medium (17 to <3 point line) : 3/16
    Long (3 point shots) : 0/3

Nazr jump shoot stats (regular season) :
    Short (<17) :16/53
    Medium (17 to <3 point line) : 0/7
    Long (3 point shots) : 0/0

How about Nazr's 5 fouls in 6 minutes in January?

As for Nazr, I think it will hurt his free agency that everyone assumes the Spurs do not want him back. For Pete's sake, he got beat out of his spot by Rasho Nesterovic twice this season. People keep thinking he will get a lot of money, but I predict a MLE contract.

Another player of this type is Nazr Mohammed, an unrestricted free agent from the San Antonio Spurs. Ferry played and worked for the Spurs before coming to the Cavs, and knows Mohammed well. It's a safe guess that Mohammed is a player the Cavs will consider if they end up moving Gooden.
    Acron Beacon Journal.
Why- when they are paying Z out the wazoo?

And if the Spurs have grown weary of Nazr, why would Ferry want him?

All Rose proved was that after he got the big contract his head got bigger and his hustle and rebounding got worse. Quit living in '99.

And the trade was about getting rid of his contract, and the Spurs were willing to give up 2 first round picks to do so.
