"Selling is legal... ing is legal. Why isn't selling ing legal?"

People DO occasionally get unfairly framed for DWI/DUI. If the cop thinks you are impaired and takes the trouble to drive you in there is a certain percentage of them that are gonna make sure the charge sticks no matter what. Those breathalizer results can definitely be jacked with.
A friend of mine who is Type 1 diabetic had a low blood sugar seizure while driving through Shavano Park. Took him a long time to get rid of the DWI charge he got because one of (snicker) Shavano Park's finest happened to see him swerving as he headed to a safe parking spot to take his insulin (which the officer denied him...luckily it wasn't a serious episode. Diabetics have died in police custody.)
Drunk drivers should have their cars taken away.
A few years back I was working outside Charlotte NC in a dry county and one of the locals told me to watch my ass because on the weekends the troopers ran checkpoints and as NC had one of the worst rates of DUI deaths, the state mandated that 1st offense meant you lost your license for a year, paid some ungodly fine, and the state impounded and sold your vehicle.
I wonder if they still do that?
Hopefully.
I pay them to take the handcuffs off me & help me out of the Sheep Costume before they leave.
Mrs. TLong?
I work 3rd shift a a gym. A co-worker of mine was involved in a drunk driving accident. He was leaving a fast food place in the middle of the night. Some drunk driver passed out with his foot on the peddle, swerved all the way to the other side of the road. Over the curb, and smashed into the passenger side of his car. The side of the car was TOTALED. Alot of times when one of us goes for a late night food run, someone will go with them. Fortunately no one was riding with him that time, cuz if they were, they woulda been DOA. My co-worker had some minor injuries that lasted a few weeks (neck, back pain).
Point is, I have no problem with drunk drivers getting caught. I am all for check points.
i am for them assuming overall they would do more good than harm (wrongful tests, etc.) i would have had a different opinion 7 years ago when i did drive while impaired.
A friend of mine lost both his legs being hit head on by a diabetic woman trying to beat her attack home. Aren't diabetics supposed to check their blood sugar BEFORE they get in the car?
At very least. I never understood taking away someone's license. If they are willing to risk driving drunk, aren't they willing to risk driving without a license?
Doesn't always work that way, but suffice it to say a diabetic should keep the means to take care of high or low blood sugar with them at all times.
Next time I pick up a prositutue, I'm gonna make sure I carry a fake badge, so just in case that the lady is a cop, I can pull out my badge when she pulls out hers to trick her and pretend to be undercover.
her: You're busted!
him: No...I'm a cop...you're busted!
her: you're kidding me? Were both cops working undercover?
him: Yeah...well...while we are here...still wanna ?
