Great list, off the top of my head I forgot about Bosh and Redd.
The way Troy Murphy played v. Spurs, he'd rank ahead of Cat Mobley.

I don't see how Chris Bosh could be considered better than Manu yet. He hasn't done anything. That could change, of course. Lots of potential there.

Same with Odom. I'm surprised you don't put Prince higher... and don't say cause you're not a homer!

    Seriously, Michael Redd above Prince?

Lenny Wilkins was a bonafide star PG while Phil was just a role, bench player.
Lenny was great on both ends of the court

For the greatest leftie, I have to go with Bill Russell, and add his will to win as a reason---he may also deserve the le "The Greatest Laker Killer of All Time"

    David Robinson in 2nd place

Ginobili gets my homer vote for the best of the current lefties

This is a creative and good comparison.

I would say that I would have to put Bosh on top of the list because he is already averaging 22.5pts 9.2rbs and 1.1blks while shooting over 50%fg and over 80%fts.

I think this board would overwhelmingly trade Manu for Bosh.

But Manu is clearly better than Lamar or Prince, but I would put Redd as better than him right now. Michael Redd is just as good a shooter as there is in the NBA and while I think Redd needs a Big Man to win a le, I'd rather have Redd as my #2 than Manu. But its really close.

    1. Chris Bosh
    2. Michael Redd
    3. Manu Ginobili
    4. Lamar Odom
    5. Tayshaun Prince

The Rest aren't close at all.

Manu is great. He can be phenomenal even. But, currently? If you base things on this past season, I don't think you can argue that Manu is the best lefty in the game right now.

Right now, even at his young age and with no playoff experience yet, I would still put Chris Bosh at or up near the top of the list of current best lefties.

Odom is up there. I have a sentimental favoritism for Jalen Rose. NVE used to be one my favorite lefties back in the day. Toni Kukoc should be considered one of the best ever as well.

Right now, I would rank them off the top of my head:

    1. Chris Bosh
    2a. Lamar Odom
    2b. Manu Ginobili
    4. Michael Redd
    5. Tayshaun Prince
    6. Cuttino Mobley
    7. Zach Randolph
    8. Jalen Rose
    9. Troy Murphy
    10. Darko Milicic
    whoa, Darko is a lefty?

A bit of trivia...the Rifleman was a lefty.

No, not Chuck "The Rifleman" Person. Chuck's namesake, Chuck Connors, who played (before I was born) for a couple of years with the Boston Celtics. Chuck also played a couple of years in Major League Baseball with the Brooklyn Dodgers and Chicago Cubs, but found his niche as an actor and starred on the successful TV series "The Rifleman".

I also found this bit of trivia in one of the Chuck Connors links out there:

Connors was the first person to break an NBA backboard. He did it during warmups before the Celtics were to play Chicago. The tipoff was delayed an hour. The Celtics then went on to lose to the Chicago Stags.

hmmn, a sport where two of the best of the bests are lefties too-Barry Bonds and Babe Ruth.

well, i don't think the Raptors would think about sending Bosh to other teams esp now that they won the #1 pick of this summer's draft. With Charlie Villanueva, Bosh # 1 pick on board, plus new GM Bryan Colangelo they're certainly looking to a bright future ahead of them

Gonzaga forward Adam Morrison, Texas center LaMarcus Aldridge and LSU forward Tyrus Thomas -- all underclassmen -- are considered top candidates

I'm gonna have to go with the popular choice- Wang Zhi Zhi.
I just remembered his debut in the nba. He went up for a layup and got capped at the rim. The other team got the rebound and he just stood there like a little kid that just got his candy stolen. I got the impression that he was thinking "I didn't sign up for this "

    Manu = best lefty today.
