@ Luis Flores
To the knowledgeable posters:
My computer's too old to run the Javtokas video clips properly, so I cannot judge how fast or how slow he can run the court. The same holds for Scola's speed--I can't tell due to my piece of pc.
Can Javtokas run the floor faster than Nazr, Marks, Oberto, and Scola?
Can Scola run the floor faster than Marks and Oberto?
Is there an objective website where I can read about the relative strengths and weaknesses of players?
@ Flores
Regarding Finley, I'll give it to him -- it's printed many places (came out in AP, Patricia's basketball, etc) that it was only a one year deal. E-N says it's 3 years though.
We'd feel silly if Luis Flores showed up in Spurs Summer League.
True enough about Finley. Even the usual clearing houses for contract information differ on his deal.
That's what caught my eye..![]()
On another note I hope next year people make Dallas and Phoenix as the favorites. Play that theme all year long... Write off the Spurs as to old to compete. We have never been good frontrunners but when we are over looked over we seem to flourish..So I will say it the Mavs and Phoenix are the favorites next yr!!
I think the Spurs would feel silly, too:

I think that given Finley's reasons for signing here and the kind of money he's already making, a one-year deal seems illogical.
The Spurs would love to resign Nazr Mohammed, although it's very unlikely.
They also need to make a decision about Nazr Mohammed. He is the only one left to start at center if the Spurs don’t find some way to convince Ben Wallace to fly south. If the Pistons get a sense that Ben won’t stay, they might agree to a sign-and-trade for Nazr and a packageApparently the people at that site love Nazr and hate Rasho-- plus, they have never seen Tim Duncan actually play.
This guy seeemd to have the most sense- although he was wrong about Finley's contract, he at least mentioned Robertas.
And, I just can't wait to see Luis Flores!!Which players should they look to acquire in trade or free agency? The team known for producing international phenoms may have another one in the making in Robertas Javtokas, the team’s second round draft pick from the 2001 NBA draft. Like Ginobili, Javtokas was drafted but allowed to continue to play and develop in international play. The 6-11, 250 center may be the player to replace a disgruntled Nazr Mohammed, who has been linked to the Bulls as a possible offseason signing. The Spurs will also have to decide whether they want to try to resign Michael Finley to strengthen the team’s bench. The team could use a legit backup SF to relieve Bowen for stretches. Tim Thomas is one player who comes to mind and should be coveted by many teams based on his postseason performance for Phoenix. Matt Harpring may be the best fit for the Spurs, however. His style of play and work ethic seem to go well with both the team and its coaching staff. - Lawrence Buirse
, let's throw in Rasho and Oberto, too.![]()
Luis Flores might be a decent idea.

Do the Spurs need a shortstop?
Third PG for the Spurs and starting shortstop for the Missions.
I think the Spurs get a ton of credit for their drafting abilities, but really the only players that they have which strike remorse in other teams' general managers are Parker and Ginobili.
Just my two cents
And the Spurs have a draft pick this year?
