AK47 would make the spurs the greatest defensive team in the laegue next year, OR, result in spurs having the greatest number of fouls for the season based on the way they officiated the playoffs.

But he is impossible to get, jazz want to build around him

Id love to see Boozer playing next to Duncan.

    Talk about rebounding power.
I can't believe that after all of the value judgements that you drop on other players, you give Booz a pass. He and his agent ing tricked and lied to a blind man to get out of his Cleveland deal, then he fakes a hamstring injury for a YEAR to try to force a trade away from the only team to offer him money.

Boozer is an asshole. Pop says you don't have to be a choirboy to play for SA, but I doubt he'd approve a move for someone who is basically a deceitful piece of trash.

trade a young All Star top defensive big man for a 30+ end-of-career big man?

I'm sure the Jazz will be all over that
    Am I missing something?

Anyone think the Jazz might bite on a Marion and #21 for Okur and #14?

The salaries don't have to match, being that the Jazz are significantly under the CAP enough to eat the remainder.

A frontline of Marion, Kirilenko and Boozer is tough. Boozer is undersized at center, but with Kirilenko and Marion weakside for blocks and rotations, he'd have plenty of help and they would still be a great rebounding team.

Phoenix gets an able-footed, offensively skilled big man with a good jumper and good rebounding ability plus the position in the draft to land a big like Sene or Armstrong or a wing like Carney or Brewer.

    Just throwing it out there...

I would trade Nazi Mohammad, Brent Berry, Eric Williams and 2nd round pick in "09" for AK47. I would take Carlos Boozer as well but his injuries scare me off a bit. I cant believe Boozer and Prince were still on the board when we drafted Barbosa.

Manu IS UNTOUCHABLE. Get over it. And, if I were Utah, I'd do that trade yesterday. Thank god the Spurs FO isn't stupid.
You know, Manu isn't really all that great. I say we should trade him if we get a good enough offer.

You guys are crazy! The Jazz will not even look at a deal with AK47 without Manu or Parker plus a bunch of other good players.
If the Spurs can pull off a Manu for AK47, Pop should just land exec of the year immediately. As for Parker, given how hard it is to get a PG these days, perhaps I'd pass ... but if it was something like Parker + Manu for Deron + AK47 (i haven't checked the salaries), that would be a great trade for the Spurs, even though the fans will probably burn down the city.
