D'oH!
NO!!!!
Celtics have too damn many retired numbers anyway.![]()
THE NERVE OF THIS GUY
ASSHOLE! ASSHOLE! ASSHOLE! ASSHOLE! ASSHOLE!
The worlds biggest joke...this HAS to be a joke.
I bet he eventually backs down and settles for #4 (3+1). IIRC, that number is not retired and there's nobody on the Celtic roster who has it.
Retired numbers:
The Boston Celtics have retired the most numbers of any professional sports franchise in North America.

Must've been cool to be a Celtics fan until Jordan showed up.
Wow...
Soo many #'s
Pretty soon they will be using letters or something. It will be like a Bingo game whenever they do starting lineups.
"At Forward, B34, Paul Pierce."
"Bingo!"
This guy is ing crazy....thats so disrespectful....he hasnt dont done in this league and he wants a legend to unretire his # so he can play with it? What a loser
I thought Jerry Rice was out of line asking for Largent's number.
Yeah, or when Barry Bonds was asking for his godfather Willie Mays' #24 when he joined the Giants before backing down and accepting #25 instead.
The best part is his explanation. "It's from the street where I live". He says it like it's some great story. I don't think anyone was convinced by that story Sebastian, just be happy you might start somewhere.
Actually, I'd be less likely to give it to LeBron. Dude's a future Hall of Famer. If he took my number, it would be permanent, because you know he's going to have HIS number retired... and who will Celtics fans in 50 years associate with that number? LeBron or Cedric Maxwell?
Nobody's going to remember Sebastian Telfair.
I think some of Cornbread's teammates need to make public statements in his defense. This is playing out like the Rice/Largent deal where the guy being asked is going to say yes just because he doesn't want to look like a saying no to the guy who isn't afraid to look like a .
Thank you.![]()
Wow- that is a lot of retired numbers.
I only know the names Robert Parish,Bill Russell,John Havlicek, Kevin McHale, Larry Bird, and Don Nelson ()
Were the other guys really that good?
The Celtics won 16 NBA les, and 11 in 13 years. They may have a couple of Avery Johnsons that sneaked in there just because they didn't know they were going to have so much success, but they've had a lot of really really good teams. A friend of mine's dad was the best player ever out of his college, was drafted by the Celtics, and didn't make it all the way through training camp.
Sebastian Telfair. That is all.
Win the Finals MVP and get back to us, m'kay?
The link isnt working and I cant find the story through google either.
