McCoy off the crack is better than Elson. Sign him for the minimum, put him in a 12-step program and he can put up 6 and 6 for 1/12th of what you are paying Elson.
Now that's not nice.![]()

you're going to be eating your words bro.....like i said earlier, I trust RC/Pop more than I do you
Or since he handed the series to Dallas by playing smallball, which ironically, has now led us to chasing after Francisco Elson.
Cool. I'm sure you do.
I've watched Elson suck in the NBA. I've watched Elson suck in summer leagues (with no Spurs scouts in sight).
I don't want you compaining to me when Elson sucks.
Thanks.
C'mon, the least we could do is give Elson a chance with the Spurs you know.
timvp also claims that Noel Felix is NBA material- apparently 29 NBA GMs see it differently.
To coin a phrase from Bruce Bowen: "It is what it is"!
All it takes is one to see it otherwise, and he's an NBA player.
No other GM can even think about Noel right now -- he's under contract -- so I don't know where that's coming from.
noel is with the sonics YOU FOOL
Three teams have contacted his agent about him this week. I know that his agent can just say he's under contract, but it's good to know that if the Sonics have no room for him that he will still have a place in the league.
Well- the Spurs won't be signing any more players--that makes 14. Some guys will get camp invites, but it will be hard to convince the Spurs to carry more than 13 or 14 players. The moves left involve trading Barry- or buying out or trading Williams. That is all.
True. Hopefully they move Barry and Williams by summer's end for someone younger.
Ok, they can think about him....
I wasn't mentioning that to correct you. I was just mentioning it.
Well, we never thought they would add Mel to the roster last season or pay the tax either.
If someone impresses in camp, who knows?
We'll still be working the trade angle though.
Timvp is way off track with this possible signing![]()
Oberto will be traded :
Spurs have 6 bigs under contracts : Duncan/Bonner/Horry/Oberto/Elson/Butler.
Usualy, there are 5 bigs on the active list and I don't see Spurs having a guy paid more than $2M on the inactive list.
Barry will likely be traded too.
I noticed that- no Sean Marks minimum guy on that list. They just got 3 of those guys and the other 2 aren't going anywhere. He is the only one they would consider trading. They could keep them all since they are paying so much less per player, but who doesn't suit up from that group?
Oh yes
The only one center who know the Spurs system will be traded?
No Way, In that list Fabri is 3rd or 4th max, if not starter and second
I suppose it could be Bonner if he turns out to suck, but why trade for him if you're not even going to keep him active? Horry may fall out of the rotation, but he's a nice guy to bring in for short bursts. They've got to be projecting Oberto as inactive if they can't move him.
We get it.
We get it.
You don't like him.
The childish hate of the guy has gone freakin overboard.
JR Reid > Elson ?
Hey I thought you couldn't trade a player twice in a month, I thought you had to wait for 2 months??
