If they didn't throw you out after 8 PFs, he might.

Nice line on Melzer even if it is against summer league talent. I like guys who fill up a lot of boxscore columns - shows they are well rounded.

And that, ladies and germs, is why Ian will be heading back overseas for at LEAST another year. Dude has got to learn how to play the American game and not get so friggin' frustrated that he picks up so many cheap/stupid fouls.

Looks like Noel got a real point guard to play with.

Yeah, the coaching staff went off on the guards for not getting him/Swift/Sene the ball in the last two games. So yesterday they picked up Miles.

Why don't I hear anything about Andre Brown making the team?

I've been watching the boxscores, and along with the Saunders and Meltzer guy, he's been quite consistent.

Is it because he's a bigman? Heh... how would he compare to Eric williams and Elson?

I know you don't care, but what was Ager's line (assuming he played)?

Why does everyone think Eric Williams is a power forward?

He was awesome. 24 points. 7-for-14 from the field and 9-for-10 from the line.

Spurs could use Ian if shaq was still in the west.

We are overloaded with power forwards, that's why.

He might make training camp, but there's no room for him or Jamar unless we trade some guys away.

I would keep all the bigs under contract to start (unless interesting trade bundle of oberto or other with barry or williams)

    1) you make Oberto, bonner, butler and elson fight over playing time
    2) you keep Jamar or/and Andre in Austin where you can still have an eye on them (ChumpDumper seemed to say it was quite possible)
    3) Comes the trade deadline, the Big that fall out of the rotation is out and you bring on one of jamar or andre from the Dleague

    sounds reasonable?

Might I add that the most likely to go is Oberto? problem is we need is experience to start the season but come trade deadline, he will be expandable

Spurs usually keep six bigs and Tim, Horry, Oberto, Elson, Butler and Bonner make 6, the only guys on the summer league that have a shot at making the team are Melvin, Melzer and maybe Donta Smith. Smith played more minutes in today's game then the first 3 games so maybe the spurs are looking his way a little more now that they know they have Elson and Butler.

One of the 6 is usually on the inactive list. Which one would it be?

that is why jav quickly signed
he did not want to have to fight for playing time

I think Ian needs to stay and go to the development league
he needs to adjust to american speed not euro spend
