Well I knew someone that purposely wanted a cigarette burn on her wrist, and let someone put the butt out on her arm... so I guess Alvarez's isn't as weird as that. But the petting sharks in an aqarium are much too docile. I wouldnt be surprised if they put something in the water to almost sedate them.

Cherry Hill is nice, I have been to many rugby games there... but yeah... like night and day compared to Camden. I get SOOOO lost in that area, and Camden is scary! And after I read about those kids being found dead in the trunk of the car...

The one neat thing I can say is from Camden Harbor where the Aquarium is, you can see the Philly skyline beyond the bridge. It's almost mocking the people who are unfortunate enough to live in Camden
That's so wrong. And you're right, I ing hate Jersey...and Cherry Hill is the worst. Whoever heard of having to get into the RIGHT lane to make a u-turn??? They have No Uturn signs in every opening so if you want to get to the other sdie of the divider, you have to drive like 20 miles. And their street signs or so tiny!!! Grrr, so many of my driving pet peeves were revealed during my stay there.

These sand tiger sharks win the award for the biggest back.

    Why are they so deformed???

They are the most common sharks in aquariums, BTW.

Oh, yeah you can't turn around ANYWHERE... you have to drive for miles to turn around, as if you missed your exit on the highway and have to double back. I think its called a milkjug something like that... TOTAL BULL .

Back on topic- Shark Week Rules! It should be a national holiday!

I have always been fascinated by sharks, ever since I was 2 years old. Shark Week is awesome, I couldn't fall asleep last night because I was watching the shows.

The blue shark is my favorite, it's so beautiful and so graceful.

Makos are the fastest sons of es ... you don't want to be in the water with one around.

I've heard about that story before Alvarez - was nuts. I also want to be bit by a shark - in a more protected sense ... they allow you in the Carribean (sp) to put on one of the chain link suits and let a little blue shark bite on you while you feed/pet it. Supposedly pretty cool
We hooked up to a 7 foot Mako this weekend off of Oceanside. Got him within 20 feet of the boat and he wrapped the line up in his tail and snapped the er. He was ing pissed off afterwards and jumped about 8 feet into the air three times in a row. I got in on video but didn't get any pics. We also caught some very nice Dorado.

The blue shark has to be my least favorite.

    So lanky and pointy.

Are you sure they're "so graceful?"

I thought they were known to be aggressive ass sharks?

Blue sharks are only aggressive when provoked, they are actually fairly calm when undisturbed. And yes, they are very graceful!

So what's your favorite kind of shark if the blue is one of your least faves?

I have Air Jaws I and II on DVD, it's absolutely mind-blowing. Everyone should watch it, it will refute everything you ever thought about Great Whites being slow and clumsy.

    The coolest shark...the big one.

I held a megalodon shark tooth, it was as big as my hand and incredibly heavy. I can't even fathom it being just his TOOTH. That was one big shark, it's probably a good thing they aren't around anymore.

Anyone who has been to Sea World San Diego (don't know about the other Sea Worlds), the shark jaws at the end of Shark Encounter are from a Megalodon shark.

Well, aren't all/most sharks graceful when unprovoked???

Anyway, my favorite shark has to be the Shortfin Mako.

It's the fastest shark (I think), and it launches itself out of the water.

You want to talk about an aggressive shark - the mako is aggressive!
Looks-wise though, the goblin shark has got to be one of the coolest.

That's exactly why I like the Mako.

Looks-wise, the goblin has to be the ugliest.

Ugliest face, and has a surf board attached to its head.

And who wouldn't like a shark that comes with a built-in surf board?
