Krystals is actually not good at all. I tried it at some airport and I hate it when I consume calories and they taste like crap.

Anyone been to In-n-Out burger? For those of you who have and really like it, go to Freddy's at the Forum - I-35 and 1604. Order the California combo. Tastes pretty damn close to In-n-Out. Even the fries are a close match. Good stuff.
I'll take a burger at Helvetia Tavern over any other!

phil's icehouse in austin has decent burgers. owned and operated by amy's ice cream, you can walk through a door and get some ice cream if you like amy's. nice, big sourdough buns and sweet potato fries available. good stuff.

They just renovated the In-n-Out in Hollywood. That er is so busy, it's a pain in the ass to make an order. The lines are like Disneyland. I remeber Rally's from my days in Vegas. Been about 15 years though. It was a good burger, and it was also cheap. You could get the cheeseburger/fries/drink meal for $1.98

That is the reason why it was so popular my freshman/sophmore years in high school. Their seasoned fries were pretty darn good.Not good enough to stay open though.
Freddie's is pretty damn good. Highly recommend it. Have you guys been to the Fatburger? That's also pretty damn good. On a local note, have yall noticed that Whataburger has gone to kinda? Their fries seem to suck ass now. They are always soggy tasting and not crisp and fresh like they use to taste back in the day. Then again, maybe it's just the ones that are around me. And also kinda off topic, what the 's been up with Taco Cabana's ? The tortillas are like midget sized a lot of times and the fajita meat hasn't been fresh tasting. Boy does Taco Tote and Chacho's put them to shame!

IIRC, they never paid their sales taxes ... speaking as an accountant, that's a no-no.
We lived there in high school...there was one right across the street from Roosevelt.
whataburger is still top notch here in austin, except for the super ghetto location on MLK and airport where they served my sister a potato taquito with french fries in it...
Now that's funny.
