I don't think that's true. Maybe I was lucky, but I passed out while I was stopped at a red light. I guess the cops happened to be passing by and noticed me. One cop wanted to arrest me, but his partner said "no", since I technically wasn't "driving the car", even though I was behind the wheel. One of the cops drove my car to the police substation, which was nearby, and my dad came to pick me up. That was back in 1994, so maybe things have changed since.
So he did drive drunk.

You seem to forget that you called people's daughters " s" in another thread. Or it might have been " s", but I forget as I type this.
To address another part in this thread, most San Marcos officers will arrest (or ticket) for PI. I'm not going to proclaim to know every situation, so I won't blame the police, but when people are minding their own business and walking home so they won't be "pieces of ," I think an officer might want to consider cutting them some slack.
Sure, assess the situation and if the person could cause harm to themselves or others, then take action, but for some officers to use their discretion on moving violations and other crimes, then be so by-the-book and place this person in the criminal justice system, it does call fairness into question.
And since I know you're going to say something along the lines that life isn't fair and people shouldn't be drunk in public if they want to not become part of the CJ system, then you can't sit there and say it's okay for law enforcement to let people go with warnings or other things on other offenses.
And for somebody who's lived in San Marcos and dealt with SMPD, Hays County Sheriffs, TABC and TxSt-UPD on a daily basis, most of those agencies are hard-asses with the students or student-age residents of SM. And when I say hard-asses, I mean that they're fairly strict about the interpretation of the laws and ordinances.
All I did was bring a discrepancy to your attention. If you simply mistyped something, why wouldn't you just say that instead of reacting obscenely?
For all I know you did mistype that or made an error. So what's the big deal?
I apologize, late nights at work fry the brain at times, and I overreacted.

TPark - you can be a yourself, as the Lachino pointed out. It was probably a tasteless remark, but hey, it's the club. If it weren't directed at you, you'd have laughed at it. You take here WAY too seriously, and dish out your quota of crap, too. My suggestions to you would be twofold:
1) If you don't want people to be a to you, don't be a to them. Enough of your cheap value judgments already. We know you love Rush. We just don't want to hear his show thru you and your posts.
2) Stop spilling your guts. I think even you would admit that you're somewhat of a figure of ridicule here at times, and that only gives people ammunition.
