You're right, that is a form of NFP. I was speaking from a perspective that is about 20 years older than you. Natural family planning is made up of a variety of techniques, including the Rhythm method, Ovulation method, Standard Days method, and the Sympto-thermal method, and is based on the fact that a woman is most fertile around the time of ovulation.
