    The Last king by Michael Curtis ford (A true historic recreation of Mithridates the Great, considered the greatest enemy of Rome)

    The Warhammer Slayer novels by William King

    Anything by David Gemmel, especially when it comes to Druss the Legend.

    L.E. Modesitt Jr. is good story telling too.

    I've never read that many but i've started to get somewhat motivated to read a few more classics or critically acclaimed books the last few years.


    I REALLY liked the Satanic Verses by Rushdie. I had to read that thing slow though for a lot of it to sink in.

    I read Haroun and the Sea of Stories by Rushdie and liked it a lot. It is quite different than his other books, as it is sort of a children's book, but can be read on different levels.
