No. But how many intelligent fans would really expect or even think that the Lakers can do that with this team, in this rebuilding season? At best, they are spoilers, and could surprise teams but contenders? Not this year. The question that nobody has answered though is can Timmy win without a dominant big man doing his dirty work for him? He answered that last year with a resounding NO.That answer is 57. Out of the 82 games, Tim missed 13 full and parts of 4 others due to his knee issue.
You don't think, the way the Lakers are structured, that they can get to 57 wins if their star was out for 13 and parts of 4 others due to any issue...DO YOU?

last seaon, the spurs were supposed to repeat, no? the lakers returned the favor (dethroning) the spurs with a back door sweep. the lakers went on to the nba finals and got b slap by the leastern conference (cough) i mean eastern confenrence champions detroit pistons.
in the 2004-05 season we really do not know who will win the le.
let us relax and enjoy the season.

But something you missed, Boutons was not calling the Spurs this year's NBA champs, he was saying they were "champs" of the pre-season among the Texas teams. He was having fun....is everyone missing that?
Although it is dishearting to see you lumping all Spurs fans together under the same mindset.
i was wrong for thinking he was talking about the nba le. this guy is worst than kings fans that i know, anything to have nba champions connected to you all teams. it does not matter if its the pacific tle (kings fans) or winning against other teams in the state of texas...... well, at least the spurs have two rings, cant say the same for the sacramento kings.

no, i was posting my opinion. i except thread les like this coming from kings fans, not spurs fans. maybe he started this thread because the spurs could not defend their le, 1999 and 2003 champions............2007? just kidding about 2007.
what is the purpose of having a thread topic like this? that is something i would never do. it has nothing to do with the upcoming season. i'm really trying to understand this thread other than being stupid, imo of course.
