UT is not a "very good" team this year. OU wins this easily.
while i think t.u. is not a top 10 team, at the moment, i doubt OU wins easily. it will be a close game either way.

We are a legitimate top 10 team this year and ou is gonna find that out soon enough. McCoy is really starting to hit his stride, completion % is over 70%, J. Charels and Selvin will be ready to go at RB, Robison will be back starting at DE, pass D is improving. I can't ing wait for Saturday. ou, come get some!

you haven't played anybody except Ohio State...and they worked you guys. i don't think iowa state is anywhere near as good as OU, so i would not get too excited about a 70% completion % (sam houston state & rice). however, keep in mind, i picked t.u. to win.

That tells me right there you haven't a clue. Aside from two Texas mistakes (stupid Pittman fumble and McCoy INT, which gave tOSU points and momentum), the game was about even. Look at the stats if you don't believe me (see below). BTW, UT has rushed the most against tOSU this season so far. It'd been more if Davis was even a halfway decent OC and stuck with the ground game up the middle.

^^ I love that you brought that up. People forget that Texas moved the ball very well in that Ohio State game. They just couldn't finish the job. The game changed as soon as Billy fumbled the ball otherwise, Texas would have went up 7-0 and who knows how the game would have went. But Texas still had chance after chance to come back in that game. OSU didn't blow it open until the last quarter.

All I can say is wow and spoken like someone who knows jack crap about sports. The stats say it all. Just like the commentators said after the Ohio State-Penn State game...the scoreboard did not tell the story. If it fits in that game, it fits in the UT-OSU game. Wow the haters really come out for some UT bashing. Hey, UT lost, I can admit that. But there is no way in I will say it was an ass whoopin'.

Obviously they don't show many UT football games in Oregon. This fool hasn't watched UT play all year and is making ridiculous statements. The team that played OSU was short a starting CB and had a freshman QB making his first start against anyone other than North Texas. This UT team handles OU easily by at least 14 and will be fully capable of beating OSU, USC, or any other team in the nation by the end of the year. It takes time for youth to mature and come together as a team, and OSU better thank the scheduling that they played UT the 2nd game of the year and not the 10th.

Tell me how good UT is again after this weekend. Peterson is going to run for 200 yds.

  11. #36
UT won't have to have their refs come in and screw OU. UT gives up approx. 30 ypg on the ground so far, and held ISU's touted RB in check. OU has no passing game and if they try to rely on Peterson to win the game for them they are going to get blasted by 20+. The Texas D is 2nd in the nation against the run and has really had two weeks to prepare for OU. Stick to ducks and beavers and leave the real football to TEXAS guys...

peterman ran for 216 against Oregon. Loss after questionable ref calls.
143 against UAB. Win after questionable ref calls.
222 against TU last year. Damn near lost that one.
155 against Neb last year. Damn near lost that one.
148 against atm last year. Almost let atm win that one.
    117 against tek. Loss.
255 2 years ago at OSU. Dropped TD pass from losing and missed FG from a tie.

Against medicore teams, peterman can carry a team with his rushing.
Against good teams, he can't. UT is a very good team. peterman can't and won't carry them.
Was Texas a good team when Peterson ran for over 200 as a freshman in a 12-0 win for OU?

    OU has no passing game...
OU is ranked 32nd in the nation in pass yards per game, ahead of Ohio State (37) and Texas (48).

UT has played top 5 comp... and lost by 17 at home... which proves... that UT can lose to top 5 comp by 17 at home. Way to prove a point.

No amount of spinning facts on the internet will determine the winner this Saturday. If Texas manages to win this year, I'll do what I've only been willing to do twice in the last 6 years: congratulate UT (those 2 times, last year's wins versus OU and USC). When OU wins, I expect certain posters to cower as they have 5 of the last 6 years, and others to man up because they are respectable posters. We'll see who is who this Saturday.

CBF... Finalize our bet. What is the time frame for sporting the avatar (you, an OU logo, me - Bill Gates?)? Rest of the college football season? Rest of 2006?

Also, let's agree now not to be a giant vagina like when ManuMania lost a Sig bet to me in the world cup. If you are forced to fly the OU logo, you must do so without degrading it first.

notice you didnt list OUs Defensive rankings, OU is soft up the middle, their Oline is no match for Texas' Dline and their Dline is going to get regulated upon by Texas' Oline

WHEN, ou plays a real team as they will on Sat we will be able to discuss ou's awesome Defensive 2006 stats with prudence & not flatulence.

Maybe you can man up & go light, medium or heavy on a $ bet with me.

I'll PayPal up to $250 to Kori if you agree.
When she has your $$ it's a go.

Vince Young had 1 win versus OU and 2 losses. Is he 1/3 as good as you thought? Benson was 0 for 3 or 0 for 4 versus OU, depending on how you want to view Mack choosing not to play him. I guess Cedric is 0% as good as you once thought.

Coaches, AP voters and Vegas seem to think Oregon is a "real" team. Sorry you don't agree. Texas has only played 1 real team and they lost by 17 at home, so you'd be wise to avoid the "Oklahoma hasn't played anyone" arguements. The D has been the weak point so far for OU, you are right. Yet we are only allowing 28 yards a game more than Ohio State, the D UT managed to only put 7 on.

Actually, VY is just as good as I'd thought.
I thought UT would have 2 National Championships w/VY...and he left early.
How does this change the fact the Man of Glass has ZERO TDs???? Ex- in-Actly, it DOESN'T.

    I don't know j-6.
I saw the entire game of Ore v ou & ou was ouSLESS on D vs the Quacks.
I'd say 17-7 is closer to the halftime score than the final score.

...no doubt. OSU walked all over t.u. and there is no shame in it, t.u. is still a good team. they just aren't anywhere near a top 5 team.

btw, BeerIsGood, you gotta be on some serious crack to think that by the end of the year t.u. will be able to beat USC and OSU...thats just stupid. are you basing that on getting whooped by OSU and then beating a bunch of crappy schools...good logic there man.

  25. #50
    OSU walked all over t.u.
    [Texas] getting whooped by OSUl
Again, you know very little about CFB, but then you're nothing but a troll anyway. After the first two weeks, I thought USC would go undefeated, but they are showing weaknesses left and right now. *IF* they get lucky enough to go undefeated and wind-up in the le game, they'll get their asses handed to them.
