no way asu is better than uw or wsu. carpenter has lost all confidence.
i don't think we are the #2 team (probably florida), but last week everyone was talking about how auburn deserved it... and then they go and lose to arkansas at home.
...right now, then, i guess they are not. but they won't drop, thankfully, b/c of the injuries...and if we can just get past ASU i think the team will be good to go.

a few observations:
1. not having a fullback is killing us. fred davis is having to block too much.
2. losing steve smith to an ankle sprain was not good. but x-rays were negative thankfully.
3. the refs weren't sharp at all. especially when it came to putting the ball into play.
4. willingham sure likes to stand on the field.
5. i am not a fan of our play calling at times.
I'm not completely sold on Booty. It seems that he has trouble making loft passes. Also, his passes coming from the 3-step drop, always seem to get tipped.
i remember hearing that even in spring practices (before his surgery) he was having problems with tipped passes.
USC luck rolling their way the past few weeks... I guess luck comes with being a dynasty.
Right now USC would probably lose to everyone in the top 7 except Aub. and possibly WVU (just don't know what they have). Florida is impressive if not somewhat screwball with the Tebow situation and OSU is extremely solid. Michigan is solid but will probably not make it past OSU. USC has Oregon (who is overrated) and Cal (who is hitting stride now). My guess is they squeak past Oregon and lose to Cal. But I don't know enough about these teams to really make an educated guess. USC may lose to ND if they keep playing like this.
...right now, they probably would. but you just don't get it, USC has had a million injuries and its obvious that their play is suffering for it. look, they beat ARK badly, then Nebraska badly, and then have struggled...its not b/c the team is not very good, its b/c they can't get away from the injury bug.
by the time USC plays Oregon and Cal, they should be Fairly healthy. plus, you underrate Washington and Washington State.
I can't apologize for the obvious.
USC very well could be overrated, no matter the excuses.
A top 3 team should play like a top 3 team always. ESPECIALLY vs teams NOT IN the top 20-25.
No excuses.
