Cuz Michigan is better...duh!!!
Mikey left SA?
WTF, whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy??????????????????????
Cuz Michigan is better...duh!!!
Uhhhhh, yeah!
Uh huh!
That's gotta be it!!!![]()
No, he left for a job I believe, and it needs to be recognized and applauded b/c if someone moves to Michigan for a job, it is a rare and spectacular feat.
Man!
How much did it pay?
What kind of job?
Isn't the wife from Mich?
Good luck to you and Erica up there in Meeechigan, Mike.
We'll miss those 4 margarita nights on the patio at Mirasol. . . .
I think he got hired as one of Flip's assistants. "Hand Coach for Nazr", I believe.
I think he got hired to thug-out Tayshaun Prince.

^Looks to me like some hand exercises.
Thank you all for the kind wishes. We made it up here safe and sound and all is well. It was a beautiful drive, albeit long, and we really enjoyed the time together.
Actually they needed me up here because they have two mexican food restaurants near me and they need a South Texan to authenticate their food. Went to one saturday and had their breakfast "burritos" (tacos to those of you in SA) not bad but you have to pay extra for handmade tortillas.
Some stats and observations from the trip:
Hi temp when we left SA...94
Hi temp when we arrived in Lansing...65
Miles traveled: 1429
Major cities encountered: Austin, Dallas, Oklahoma City, Springfield (MO), St. Louis, Indianapolis, Fort Wayne and Lansing.
Times I have already had to scrap frost off my car: 1![]()
Distance from our house to Hooters: 1.27 miles
Hours it took me to get to Hooters from when we arrived: 19 thumbs up (got in at 5:30p on thursday, at Hooters 12:30 on friday)
Observations: Missouri is gorgeous, Eastern OK is not bad either, Indy blows, Ft. Wayne has a Taco Cabana and Michigan's trees have a lot of color already.
There are two Cowboys fans living in the same section of our complex as us including one guy who just moved here from Ft. Sam.
Also NO state loves their flag like Texas does. In Texas you see the state flag everywhere, Oklahoma almost as much, I saw a few flags in Missouri, None in Illinois, and a smattering in Indiana and Michigan.
Meijer (pronounced "meyer") is Wal-Mart on Steroids.
and yes...there is snow showers predicted for Thursday.
Blaze...thanks for the thread bro...I better see you go national really soon so I can say I knew you when.
TPark...I waved at the new Busch Staduim for you.
Dio...I flipped off the entire city of Norman for you!
FWD: I will miss them too bro. The four of us had a blast.
Kori and Katy...my first trip to the local grocery store...I wore the Spurstalk softball shirt and was complimented for it.
I may have moved but the SA will always refer to the 210. You can take the boy out of Texas but can never take Texas out of the boy.
Pistons fans....where we gonna have the Spurs-Pistons GTG? I recommend the Lansing Hooters...I already know some of the waitresses!![]()
Funny that you mention Ft. Wayne, I was considering putting an application in at their paper during the summer of a friend's recommendation, but decided against it with some ownership things I heard once I did some talking to people.
They have Taco Cabana in Ft. Wayne????????????
It is nice to see you made the trip safe and sound. Here are a few things you need to know:
Michigan turns: they are found on a divided highway or major roadway. Simply put, they are turn lanes that force drivers to go beyond an intersection they wish to turn left on, which they turn left onto the opposite way from which they were coming from, and thus have to turn right onto the road that they were originally going to turn left onto. (I know it is a complicated definition, but you will know what I am talking about when you see it.)
Lake Effect: Snow showers that are caused by cold air blowing across the warm waters of Lake Michigan. They might not reach as far inland as Lansing most of the time, but if you have to do any business in Grand Rapids or along the Lake Michigan shoreline, you will encounter them.
Yoopers: Anyone that resides in or is from the Upper Peninsula.
The Bridge: Mackinac Bridge (Pronounced Mackinaw) is the bridge that connects the Lower and Upper Peninsulas.
Also, prepare to go weeks, sometimes even as long as a month without seeing much of the sun. Michigan winters are notoriously gray and dark.
If you have any questions or are wondering why certains are the way they are, don't hesitate to ask.

We call it Meijers.![]()
To add to Vizzini's thing...NEVER and I mean NEVER wear Ohio State gear.
I did too...but then I got corrected! We call it Meijers.![]()
Actually, I see enough Suckeye gear around to let me know that there is a small and loyal contingent in our lovely state. As for Meijer, I am always correcting my family when they add the "s" on to the end of the name. For what is worth, most people add it and no one really catches that it was added.
I used to live in Ft. Wayne. Taco Cabana?
You'll grow to live it. Michigan that is.
How 'bout them Buckeyes!! I always wore my Ohio State gear when in MI.
Ohio State blows balls.
I wish I was there. Im already getting pumped for the OSU game. And the Tigers are looking great.
All the way to the National Championship baby!!!!
