Brady Quinn will be a Raider.
Never. Last time Al Davis picked a QB in 1st round was back in 84 or 85. He just don't do it.
He'll pick the most hyped QB in the history of the foward pass before he picks a RB to replace the solid one with a big contract that he already has. Al Davis likes to pass. He has the WRs, now he just needs someone to get them the ball (actually, he needs blocking, but the OL prospects in the top 10 this year are slim).
Are you telling me that Brady is more hyped than a Heisman winning Leinhart? Because Davis passed on him.
How about the 'free falling' Aaron Rodgers from in-town Cal? Passed.
Phillip Rivers? Passed.
Drew Brees (3rd/4th in Heisman)? Passed.
Chad Pennington (5th in Heisman)? Took Sea Bass instead.
Jake Plummer (3rd in Heisman)? Passed.
Tommy Maddox from UCLA while they were the LA Raiders? Passed.
There is one reason and one reason alone that Al will never again chose a hyped college QB. I have been a Raiders fan since I was old enough to make solid $hit, and I know 2 things to be true: Al wants a verticle game, and Al will never again choose a hyped college QB.
Why? 2 words: Todd. Marinovich.
The only guy who can hold a candle to the Brady-hype is Leinhart, and he didn't even reach those levels. All those other guys... are you ing kidding me?
