It's really pretty simple. Spurs fans were expecting the Spurs to sign someone who can defend like Rasho and rebound like Nazr- instead they got someone who defends like Nazr and rebounds like Rasho.
    Nail, head, bang.

But he was pleased Saturday with his committee of big men.
That's a good news. Spurs' bigs (except Duncan) aren't very good. If they provide solid minutes, Spurs will be fine.

Ludden parrots the company line. No surprise.

Sidenote: Where exactly was Mourning's loyalty to the Nets when they waited those two years for him to recover from his kidney transplant? Oh yea, there was none, because they were going through a transition period and weren't winning.
Mourning was actually with the Heat during those years. He didn't sign with the Nets until after he came back (which was after 2003, the same year the Spurs went after JKidd).

Rasho or Nazr would get lambasted for putting up those numbers as the starter.
For the amount of money they were getting, yes.

Id love to know what ripping up management for not anyone being available accomplishes.

Wrong. 'zo signed with the Nets BEFORE his kidney surgury, which happened in December of '03. 'zo played 40 games in two years for the Nets and then requested a trade and then refused to report to Toronto after criticizing the team and asking for a trade.

EDIT: I ask this question because I don't know the answer: Did 'zo ever have to give any of that 22 million dollar contract back? Given the fact that he donated his Miami salary to charity I doubt it. Regardless, any mention of "loyalty" is a joke when it comes to him.

I remebered it wrong then. I thought he was with the Heat when he got his surgery.

It probably doesn't make any difference, considering that 'zo has never shown any loyalty to anyone but 'zo. There's nothing wrong with that so long as he doesn't talk himself up for it.

Zo might be unloyal as , but hes a beast when it comes to blocked shots... I never watched him in his prime, but if he was better than he is now (which undoubtedly he was), he must have been a ing terror for opponents at the rim.
