my brother loved the show, but he said the opening bands were god awful.
And Oddjob was a pioneer who made many strides towards the universal popularity of killing people with a hat.
Sadly, that has not yet caught on with the hip hop community.

You will be saying the same thing about every single album Groundation has made. They are absolutely incredible.
Does Sean Paul fall under Reggae?
Sean Paul sucks.
That's because you're not old enough to understand his deep lyrics and music![]()

Not unless you want to include Shaggy.

Aww Alvie, you know I'm just kidding! Us Philly folks gotta stick together![]()
Damn, I almost forgot about him. I never understood how that "Wasn't Me" song became such a big hit...he sucked!
Sean Paul is technically a dancehall performer.
i wish they wouldn't lump him and snow in on the reggae channel on sirius though.
To the few Reggae fans here
Shoulda just led this thread, "To all of the potheads here...."
They play a load of Sean Paul on Reggae Riddems Sirius 32. I wish they wouldn't because I feel he is more hip-hop than reggae.
I dig that channel though. They play a good amount of roots and rocksteady tunes.
I take offense...wait, no, you are right.
Next time you are high, you should watch the show Bleach.
don't get me wrong, i like it too. i just question some of the stuff they put on there that makes me change channels immediately - they play some really good stuff like dennis brown, culture, tosh, wailers, etc. can't really complain about too much though, texas radio doesn't have in the way of roots stuff. one hour a week here in austin on the college radio station.
I love the fact that they play a lot of Third World. They are the first Reggae band I ever heard. My dad bought me Third World - Serious Business when I was 10.
Just purchased the new Lee Scratch Perry album "Panic in Babylon" and would recommend taking a listen to it. He is still just as crazy as he used to be. Very nice album.
i'd be hard pressed to think of a producer better than perry. he's bat crazy but a genius. i'll grab that cd, did you get the 2 disc?
I picked up the exclusive album off of itunes. "Panic in Babylon (Bonus Tracks)". I'm not sure if its available elsewhere, but I haven't looked either.
The song "Fight to the Finish" is amazing.
finally got a chance to listen to this, good stuff. perry can toast like no other.
Sean pauls old stuff is actually reallly good, it's his new which is overplayed, but he is good, please don't compare Shaggy to him
perry using the vocoder on fight to the finish is sublime, thx for the recommendation again. i have a lot of perry stuff and hadn't heard of this yet.
Yeah, that is something else when he bends his voice like that.
I just picked up King Tubby meets Jacob Miller in a Tenament Yard. Wow. I've only been able to find it on itunes though. These two together are amazing.
