Horry will be doing just fine as the season goes on...everyone will be calling shotgun on his jock once he finds his shot again. Same goes for Finley...they will contribute to the championship this year...it will be glorious!
Damn, now I'm all happy in the pants again.
This will be his final season.
He's good to have around to teach Bonner, and at some stage he will hit a streak of solid play - let's hope it's when we need him most.
No-one should disrespect him and say he's " ing useless" - the guy is the most proven role player in the league, and he deserves respect for that.
seriously besides smilin on court....trade him!
Horry was actually moving around pretty well tonight. He's just shooting like crap right now. But, when he shows that he still has some athletic ability, there is no reason to believe that this isn't just a bad stretch and we can expect him to come around.
Same with Finley. He has shown some quickness and he can still elevate. He's pressing and struggling some in the early goings, but no reason to write him off yet.
I'm not looking forward to Pop sticking with Horry in the playoffs the way he stuck too long with Van Exel. I'd be surprised to see Horry do anything in the postseason. He looks finished.
Lest we forget ...
we don't have that third banner hanging from the rafters if Rob doesn't hit that 3 against Detroit. Or that whole series of 3s. How many did he make in that game? 7?
Point is, we have Rob to thank for that le. So quit hating.
I would rather keep Horry than have him meet me later in the playoffs with some other team and beat me with a big shot.
this post. Yall owe Robert horry for life. Game 5 dumb s
Slightly different. Van Exel was a PG, and no longer had the athletic ability to play that position. Horry is counted on to get the occasional board, play adequate team defense, and spot up and hit the open 3 on offense in the clutch. He still has the legs to do this, he's just playing poorly right now.
we dont owe him , its just like sayin without duncan we have jack
Horry had an important 2 tonight
Has been with... how many rings? 6. Yeah.
If this is his last year which i think that it is, come playoff time i am sure he has one more good run in him where he will hit some big shots hopefully in route to a le.
Horry should be in the inactive list instead of Jackie Butler
Yes please. I want to see Butler get some time.
If number of rings is the main qualifier, does that mean we should trot out Bill Russell?
I don't want to look at this too blindly. Horry has earned a the right to have a few "off" games. I still hold out faith that he'll show BIG in the playoffs.
seas
Of course I now sound like the FO references to NVE
Pop had better make sure he develops Bonner to a point that he can "step in" at a moments notice in case Horry's struggles last through the postseason.
It's one thing to berate are players during the game, it's another to lose perspective on the matter.
All these trade proclomations are bogus.
We have Jaren Jackson to thank for the '99 le, should have kept him after he couldn't do it anymore?
I'm not saying Horry is there yet, but there's no question he is near the end of the line. Because of his past, he'll basically get a bye until the playoffs start. And I'm fine with that. But he's had one good playoff year, and two horrible ones. We need to be prepared for the fact that we might get nothing from him this year, too, and have options ready.
10 points in 17 minutes
Hit 3 of 4, hit both 3's and both FT's
4 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and a block
Yeah, you're right, totally useless

Suck on that haters.
Big shot Rob can play on my team, any year, any day.
way to go Big shot.
He also helped start the big comeback with his 2nd 3 and his trap that caused the turnover which led to Beno's lay-up and a great block. And though early in the season this was a huge game from a mental aspect, as hot as the Rockets were they took a big hit to their confidence with this loss. And a game like this is great for the new guys on the Spurs, because they very quickly get a sense of what this team is all about, if they didn't already know it, this kind of game builds confidence and helps solidify this team's goals, winning a le.
He acted like he gave a tonight. I guess it was a big game...
