i'm not avoiding anything. it's simple: if A&M wins they rose to the occasion and beat a team that was better than them. if t.u. wins, as they should at home, well...the better team won. i don't understand why there needs to be more than that...
You are avoiding the question......its a yes-no question.
All you have said is that you feel A&M is going to win.
The question is if your prediction comes out wrong and if Texas wins (and I know you think they won't) will you give them props for their victory?

Fair enough. Hopefully all the Ag fans on this board will follow your example and be here if Texas wins. Hopefully the Texas fans here will do the same if A&M wins. I know I will.
Sadly I have to work that day so I will be on this site most of the day.![]()
two things:
1. YOU'RE WORKING DURING THE GAME?!!!
2. i'll never understand the need for people to come and give credit on this board, BUT i do understand why people should come onto the site after talking a bunch of garbage - i'm with you on that one. nobody likes someone who talks a bunch of junk and then disappears
I think for me, its a personal preference. I was brought up in sports that you play your ass off during the game but when its over you shake hands and congratulate the other team for their effort and if they were better than you, you acknowledge that.
Eh...just an old school thing I guess. No biggie.
Yes I am working during the game and yes it sucks!![]()
I will have to rely on the gamecast on the net and any blogging going on here.
me too, but at least it's holiday pay.
^Everything I've read to this point indicates that Colt will start and is 100% healthy and ready to go. J. Blalock is also good to go as well. Should be a great game, definitely looking forward to getting to our tailgating spot at about 7:30am and starting up with some Bloody Mary's and a few shots for breakfast. Hopefully I'll sober up before the game is over so that I can drive home!
I do really think that the time off will be a big help to our team, we've been banged up all season and needed a little rest to get more healthy. I think this is going to be a back and forth game, and I hope to God our secondary is up to the challenge. They need to play like they did against Ok. State, and they sure as can't underestimate the a&m running game. It's going to take a complete team effort on defense to contain those guys. I do think with Colt back our offense should be rolling, might take a series or two, but by the end of the 1st quarter they should be getting into a good flow. It's going to be a great game with two long time rivals going at it, one of the reasons I love college football.
Final: Texas- 31
a&m- 27
Hook'em!!!
Texas 583 Aggy -2
question: which college is located in a ty town and their student body is obsessed with jars, dead dogs and sheep?
I am not so lucky being on salary. Good for you though...make that bank!me too, but at least it's holiday pay.![]()
As an Aggie, I'd love to see A&M win
BUT
the more losses there are and the worse they are, the sooner Fran's sorry lying ass is canned, and the sooner A&M might be turned around to a respectable football program. So I hope Texas blows em out on Friday, and I hope Fran gets thoroughly embarassed in whatever bowl game they might be in, so maybe, just MAYBE, some of the big-money alum will suck it up, admit they were wrong in pressuring TAMU to fire Slo and get this joke of a coach in the first place, and get his ass out of there.
I thought getting rid of Slo was bad enough but bringing in Fran was worse. They need a big time coach in there who will pound the recruiting trail. Right now Mack Brown owns this state, Fran is not the man to get that back for the Aggies.
^ I still can't believe aggy didn't hire Kubiack (sp?) for the job, let the Texans get him instead. He would have been a perfect fit for a&m imo.
I agree.....Kubiak would have been a perfect choice.
except he would have left for the Texans last year, then what?
BTW, he lived right across the fairway from me for a few years in the 90s. I played gold with him a couple of times in tourneys....nice guy.
I don't think he would have left for Houston if he were at A&M..just a thought.except he would have left for the Texans last year, then what?

wtf? nothing i said went away from that. just cause you shake someones hand and said good game does not mean that same person is giving credit to the other team (winner) or does not think they should have won.
I was just expressing why I felt the way I did...wasn't against you or anyone else, bro.wtf? nothing i said went away from that. just cause you shake someones hand and said good game does not mean that same person is giving credit to the other team (winner) or does not think they should have won.
...i see. and while i don't disagree with you in a perfect world...its hard for me to see teams killing each other and then the emotions gone immediately after the game. but let me make this clear...i am not opposed to shaking hands or all that stuff after the game, it just doesn't make sense to me sometimes.
I agree completely. The NHL does it after every series and in college after every game...I don't see how hockey players can kick the out of each other and then shake hands afterwards sometimes...but I think its cool.
...and to me, sincerity is more important. if you don't want to do it, don't do it. doesn't mean that later that evening or the next day you won't want to have a beer with someone from the other team.
agreed...better no handshake than a fake one.
I think it also depends on the person or persons you are competing against. Some of the fiercest games I have been involved in have been with close friends. A bunch of guys I used to play ball with regularly back in the day...we were all like brothers and no matter the sport, we used to beat the crap out of each other and even got into the occasional scuffle. We got pissed but we got over it quickly too.
Texas A&M will win this game.
