Folks gettin hostile in this joint!
both teams have a bunch of fans who whine way too much. The Spurs fans who whined did so during the WCSF then handed off their whining scripts to the Mavs fans who took over in the Finals.you're saying the mavs fans whine about calls and then say that "the mavs got every close call in the book against the spurs in that 7 game series." <-- WTF IS THIS IF NOT WHINING?
My question to Mavs fans which I have asked since the finals still refuses to get answered. Why did you call out Spurs fans for whining...then did the exact same thing (almost verbaitum) in the finals...but though that was legit?
because nobody whined. not me anyway.
BOTH series were fair, Tim Duncan shot more free throws than the whole Mavs team in that series but yet some of the Spurs fans say that we got all the calls.
i dont understand at all
What's done is done. Dirk pwned the Spurs. Wade pwned the Mavs.
back on topic lol
i think this game is almost equally important, but means a little more to dallas cause we already lost the opener, and we're behind in the standings
You probably didn't whine. I didn't whine either but to say nobody who is a Mavs fan whined is wrong. You can pull threads here from the finals and see it.because nobody whined. not me anyway.

I agree that both series were fair. In the WCSF, the Mavs were the better team and in the Finals the Heat were.
Dirk is right though...its in the past and has no bearing on the current season at hand.

Still even if Dallas loses, they still have plenty of time to make up ground.
We need to worry about the next Bobcat game.
It will be a great game. Duncan vs. Dirk, that will be just superb. Two almost even match players playing one on one. And Parker vs. Terry, Manu vs. Stack will be just great to see who is better. I'm hoping that Spurs will win Dallas but they will need to play strong defense. If Bowen could stop Howard and help Duncan a little bit to stop Dirk than we are on a white horse. I know that Dirk can not be 100% stopped but if they will defend him tough, he will not come to easy shots. I'm barely am waiting to watch the game.
GO SPURS GO!
My mom is even watching the game tommorrow and she don't get excited about nba until the playoffs usually.
btw, I got a $10 bet with my grandpa on this game.
Go Mavs Go
Two topics here:
1) What is the status of Josh Howard? Not having him is a big deal to the Mavs chances of success.
2) I'm personally sick and tired of fans ranting about who got what calls. The refs do the best they can and it evens out in the long run. They are simply another factor in the game that the players and coaches must deal with.
I do see a big difference between the Spurs and the Mavs organizations here. The Spurs, as an organization, generally, don't make excuses or whine about the refs to any great extent. The Mavs, on the other hand, seem to make this a HUGE part of their team iden y. Mark Cuban is certainly setting the tone for the team here, and Avery Johnson has turned out to be a BIG-time complainer.
My theory is that the Mavs organization thinks that this is a way to build fan loyalty and interest, by making it an "us vs. them" kind of thing. This is EXACTLY the way Mark Cuban thinks, and he's been really successful selling the Mavs in Dallas, so who's to argue with them. You Mavs fans who have jumped on this "the Refs are against us!" bandwagon are, frankly, being used by the Mavs organization.
The downside is that it actually hurts the team's success. If you get a reputation as a complainer about the refs, you might get some calls turned your way, but you'll probably get more calls turned the other way, and certainly more fines and technical fouls.
And the Spurs got down by 20 on their home court in a game 7, take the game to overtime with all the momentum going their way and still somehow lose the game. Stop blaming the refs, the mavs didnt lose the finals bc of the refs, they just got beat, just like the spurs did
well said.Stop blaming the refs, the mavs didnt lose the finals bc of the refs, they just got beat, just like the spurs did
im back and i see this
Hope it's Elson who's gonna guard Dirk.. guy's fast and tall
As Shaq said : I'm not concerned about the Sacramento Queeeens...
I hope Josh Howard plays ; beating a short-handed team doesn't mean anything to me
Besides , he might call an ill-advised time out..
Not sure that this is a big game. It's November guys. Let's not get too excited.
ponky is a mavs fan who is simply in denial spurs are going to own the mavs!!! GO SPURS GO!!! TIM DUNCAN WILL DOMINATE DIRK!!!!
I would think the biggest reason behind this discrepency would be that Duncan plays with his back to the basket in the low post where he seems to draw the attention of all 5 defensive players with swiping hands while "the german guy" settles for a heck of a lot more jumpshots. Just a theory here.
Mavs have won 7 straight, but Howard and George are hurt, intresting to see what happens.
this is really big match for dallas. Becouse rival is very hard and wha has three champions
Well, Howard is important, but George??
