I actually ate pretty good last year thanks to a high fence...some people bought the place next to ours in Floresville and immediately erected a high fence (which made no sense, because they only high fenced one side of their property, but who am I to tell them how to spend their money?). This caught the local deer population completely off guard, and when my daughter spooked a medium sized doe, it ran for the fence...the OLD fence.
A deer running at full speed vs. a newly erected high fence. It was a sight to see. The doe snapped her neck and croaked instantly, so I took full advantage of the situation and my newly defrosted freezer. Nothing like fresh backstrap... (Where's that fork and knife smiley?)
