Oh, well in that case...![]()
for the record, i'm a girl. lol
Oh, well in that case...![]()
yay someone is gonna pick them up! so glad they won't go to waste!
Explain how this relates to poverty numbers? Or anything related to the disposable income that would be necessary to be able to purchase sports tickets?
=/ Damn, I need to look at links closer.
I did a google search for "poverty line" "san antonio" and "ranking" and that popped up. I should've looked a little closer before using it as a source.Let me find a more credible link.
Ok, so San Antonio is 28th. Link
It's okay, I'm doing the research myself.
Not that I'm eager to find info in the affirmative about my hometown.
Well the reason I did it in the first place, is because it didn't sound true.
Living in this city after living in Chicago for 10 years, everythings very different. Much better that is. The lifestyle, the cost of living, the way people treat you and what not. Overall San Antonio seems like one of those nice city's old people go to retire to...
Not one that is 'near the top' as far as percentage of people below the poverty line. =/
Man, I've never seen people give someone such trouble from trying to give away tickets. Next time, why don't y'all just shutup if you don't have something nice to say or want the tickets.
Are these season tickets? If so, FYI, what I've done in the past is e-mail the .pdf files to myself before the deadline. Then if someone wants them after the deadline, I can just forward them directly without going through the site.
How are we 'giving him trouble'?
According to this SA is the 28th in percent below the poverty level. But remember that San Antonio is the 7th most populous city in the US.
18.5 percent of San Antonio is many more people than, say, 20.6 percent of #18 Stockton, CA.
Yes, but percentage wise it is still 28th.
My original point was in regards to percent of our population that goes to a home game. But to humor you, let's take out that 28% from the running...that leaves 72% of 1.5 million which is still about 1.09 million people that are not below the poverty level that passed up on available tickets to a home game. That's still ALOT of people. So I wouldn't say I am "pretty alone" in my sentiment.
You're right, that's still alot of people. Which is why I said on the last page that this was your preference, and that some would agree with you and some wouldn't.
But I wanted to encourage someone being nice enough to offer her tickets when she couldn't attend the game. I hope someone is nice enough to do it again when I'm in town...they definitely wouldn't go to waste.![]()
Oh, I'm all about free .![]()
Just not in finals week, and the night before I have to get up early to go to the airport.
Pretty smart idea.
Anyways thanks, Veronica, for offering them to the ST community.![]()
That is a good idea! I will do that next time there's a chance I won't go. Thanks!![]()
Oh, also, every person in SA is not a member of ST who happened to be browsing the forum just before game time.![]()
Neither are those 18,797.
Anways, I'm not trying to get on your case.I would have taken you up on the offer, but only because they're free. My point was simply some home games are just not worth paying for.
I would have totally taken them, but I live an hour away and it would have been nearly the 3rd quater by the time I got there. Whenever you give away your tickets veronicamae, I think its a good thing. Don't put up with haters.
What the ? Everybody ing at veronicamae in this thread deserves to be slapped.
She offered tickets for free. God, you're so ing ungrateful.
Just pm me next time and I'll put the tickets to good use or find someone for you.
.
Comments like this are why I took time out during the game from the AT&T Center to come tell you guys to shutup. If you don't want the tickets, that's fine, no reason to post. Next time there is a ticket thread, you and Horryfor3 should just not click on it. Because you won't like the timing, the seat locations, blahblahblah.
Just learn to shut up.
You would think HF3! wouldn't pass up the chance to look at male athletes' asses.
Are these mother ers for real?
